The m25. I slowed the overtaking lane to approx 12mph earlier after some dozy bint in an audi decided that the 20 meter gap I'd left to the car infront at 77mph-ish was too large and got up my arse flashing me.

I was so angry I did consider stopping all together, then when she went for the overtake and I saw it was a woman I was glad I didn't bother. I did make sure she didn't pass though, and she almost hit a skip lorry trying it

The whole motorway was doing between 50 and 0 due to stop start morning rush hour traffic. I decided to be the stop part of this sequence.

I wouldn't say it's irresponsible at all, if the car infront had stopped to any great pace at all I'd have had an Audi in my boot as soon as I had to brake.

I decided to slow down in a safe and controlled manner and make her very aware she was driving FAR to close. When you really think about it, slowly slowing down a motorway is far superior to the bloke infront braking hard because he's paying 100% attention, me in turn having to brake harder due to reaction time and her smashing my car to bits and causing hours of delays.

I'd be curious to know if you still think it's a bad idea or not though?

Looks like two completely different accounts of the same story, the comments made were based on first account, your attitude was clearly irresponsible and a tad aggressive.

You say quote "I was so angry" they are your words, anger has no place in driving, aggressive driving and attitude causes accidents and its usually some innocent person that gets injured or killed.

My apologies, the first one had been typed out whilst still raging slightly. What I meant was that I'd left a gap suitable for speeding up if that makes sense. I was just coming towards where the 50 zone ends and the NSL is resumed.

The second account was when I had calmed down considerably  TBH I'd have done the same at full chat though, regardless of how the old bill might see it I'm not risking injury because some tart with too much money decides she's Senna and adopts a slipstream type style of driving.

Just FYI, my anger was let out through the passenger window when she tried to pass not by stabbing at the brakes etc.

Did I mention the odd cyclist all togged up with lycra and well expensive road bike who, on the face of it looks like they know what they're doing, cycling at an impressive 25 mph in the middle of the road (ok, I can understand that they don't want their expensive roadbike wheels buckled with drains etc).

However, I can't understand why, when signalling to take a left turn....he suddenly decides to swing out in the middle of the road in order to do it. Do these types have a death wish? I mean it's not exactly an articulated lorry is it FFS!

Most cyclist are fine, I might add. me being one of them, but I very nearly ran this guy over because he was being reckless, He signalled he was turning left so I sped up to overtake him, as you do. I would be almost as upset as him if I ran him over. No. I'm not a boy racer, I always give cyclists and pedestrians right of way. It's annoying how many motorists don't give way, as the highway code says that pedestrians have the right of way everywhere.

Firstly, a worthy thread resurrection, I do like this one

Secondly, why on earth would you even do that ?

Thirdly, my piss has been surprisingly unboiled recently. Must be feeling the Christmas love

Let me think if I can see the correlation ... hmm, you have been away from Mrs Bing for a bit

People who can't do their job properly specifically Alarm Engineers who don’t label up alarm points properly.

Just had alarm activation in one of my buildings and I’m on call tonight, been out in the gale force wind and heavy rain, interrogated the alarm panel, found the activated zone but the description didn’t match up with the alarm point list :headbang: :headbang: why cant people do simple jobs properly, took me 25 minutes to find the activated alarm point

Got soaked to the skin :x

People that slow down to 40mph *before* exiting onto a motorway slip road. Terrifying.

People that say one thing and do another. Liars basically. So many of them around, they all think the're being straight with you when they actually are too cowardly to say what they really think / feel.

how about "would've" ?

Spelling mistakes (not typos') piss me off .... just me being anal I guess.
