What mods are you going to do to your Zed in 2023?

Very nice, Thought I was going to be unique, but not many E89’s wearing these
That's because they are for the F/G series cars.
Original fitment to F87 M2?

BMW 'OEM' diamond cut alloys are not very durable from my experience (the lacquer damages really easily and the white worm gets in). After market are no worse, though! :D

Yep, standard on an M2 competition I think. My offer was declined, wasn’t a Pi55 take offer either, was going to have them referbed to avoid the white worm issue.

Probably not going to happen now as costs starting to escalate.

Hmmh seems you have both the inability to use an internet search engine and an inability to look at a thread on a newsgroup

Bottom of page 3 of this topic seems to address your issue

What are these internets of which you speak ?

Thank you both.

Thank you. And shame on me for not seeing this post.

I reckon the ones you’ve found vs my search is the complexity of the design and materials. TBH, I’m not sure how either would improve my style of driving in the roads I drive. This is not a track car.

I definitely wouldn't want something bulky and ‘vulgar’. Especially if it’s only for bragging. Not my style.

Thoughts and comments welcome. Thanks again.

Planning to fit new rear shocks as had the fronts done in 22.Any recommendations? Just for road use not planning to spend above £150 for the pair. E89 3.0si. Cheers.

Ideally you should match the fronts…what did you buy for them?

Upon a quick check in the dark, it seems the car already has this model. Is it part of the M package ?

A while back at the track, an aero package vendor did tests for us with and without diffuser and rear spoiler. My lap time didn’t improve at all. OTOH, tyres, suspension and brakes shaved off several seconds.

But what do I know ?

I’m exchanging emails with OSS. Def not cheap. All-in, I reckon the project will run US$1,000.

I’ve also emailed TDD. Twice. Still hopeful somebody could make extended paddles for the e89. (I don’t care for the LEDs.)
https://www.tddmotors.com/

iND informed the Melbourne red emblems are getting lined up. No ETA yet. Sadly the black portions of the sDrive35is will be painted red too.

Finally, I’ve found a more tricked out rear diffuser that I ‘might’ get it for a decent price.

2023 seems to be the year of the cosmetic mods.

I’m thinking similar to you Peter I’m having a machine polish professionally done, then build up the wax again. I had not noticed the slight dulling of the paint on our 2010 car until I had the front bumper repainted in November, which now shows the rest of the car up!

Already refurbed wheels and changed brakes (as you’ll know) and had new MSport rear springs last year. Would love to replace the rear back section of the exhaust. Two options I think from memory reported in other threads. Interested on others opinion here.

Have just replaced the roof relays as a precaution and Pfledge applied to the rubber seals. Sent off for some furniture clinic leather ‘paint’ to touch up seat bolster (just being fussy). Had the steering whee and gear shift gaiter recovered in recent weeks by Royal Steering Wheels and they look epic!

Want to tweak the front bumper just because it’s not sitting perfectly, slightly wider shut lines than I’d want which may need a visit back to the body shop. We shall see…

The car is currently SORN until warmer days, so anything I do had to be done on the driveway or in the garage. April
It will get a fresh MoT and a run to the Ultimate BMW show at British Motor Museum in April; very excited about that.

Can you show the gear gaiter pls ?
Yep, I’ll add a pic or two tomorrow. Need to brave the garage …
