What is my sat nav doing?

It was a function that appeared on V32. On my old X5, I had V28 that did not have it. I then got a new nav computer under warranty and that had V32 with the dynamic option.

How old is your car?
 
Hey, nothing like being routed automatically around every traffic jam. Usually hours after the jam has disappeared and you drive in circles on empty roads :D
 
No, yours is the same as mine. It will use TMC but only when tuned to classic fm, when using another audio source than radio or when the tuner is in standby freeing the tuner up to tune to classic fm (the one station in the uk that broadcasts TMC)
 
Yes, it makes a right all mess of routing then if enabled.

Surprised about a 2007 not having it though as mine is 2007 as well, and I would not have thought it was an M only thing.
 
You have the second screen when you scroll down where you can check two more optons? Something about avoid motorway or so.

From what I could decipher online yes. It came in with a B24 release on facelift cars. Looks like when you got yours replaced, you got the latest version

Pre facelift cars have a b22 head unit iirc
