This afternoon consisted of a few hurty words and my best impression of a contortionist as I fitted my vibe 400.1 amp for the footwell speakers. Not sure if the speakers can handle the amp, so might end up changing them out for something more powerful. Wish I'd never started

Just stuck on, so easy enough to pry off and change.

OEM from Sycamore Peterborough, they're on the auction site for £48. Horrifyingly, and fortunately the thing fell off using just it's sticky back adhesive, I found it behind the car at my mum's after a visit. Plenty of super glue has kept it on since.

Yes, just tucked the zed away as this good weather we've been having is coming to an end. Haven't driven the cayman in months.

Did some tidying up for Colin Thomson on his low cost car play unit..Mr Fastidious didn’t like the cables snaking across the cabin…

So used a BMW usb power plug in the cigarette lighter socket and some right angles power and signal cables..

The piece de resistance was using some zip ties , cut back to act as little stakes to hold the cable run neatly in place…

Did look at routing internally but that was going to be a much bigger job..

Ironically the very tight fit of all the dash trim made this a bit of a pig..
