What have you done to your E89 today

So spurred on my Big Andra..
Decided to revisit the tuning of my Match 10 DSP having climbed yet more of a long learning curve on car audio..
The problem with DSP based tuning is its as much an art as a science…with each channel having literally thousands of permutations you start from some basics but after that it becomes more art than science…
I’ve implemented ‘differential fill’..that is the technique of stripping out the common information of a stereo image and feeding just the unique parts to the two rear shoulder mounted speakers..this with an extra time delay (normally you adjust time delays from each speaker so that the sounds arrive coincident..) of about 12ms for those two channels..
This gives the impression of more ambiance to the music whilst not simply replicating a copy of the front channels which ruins the stereo image and/ sound stage..
I bought an optional device called ‘Director’ and amongst other things you can store upto 10 different audio set ups and call them up on the fly..
So I had a happy afternoon adjusting the system for differing levels of centre channel attenuation, more boost on the woofers and the subs, plus the various bass enhancement techniques this DSP offers..
The reality is that some of the changes aren’t obvious on some music but then really are noticeable on other tracks..

That's well over my head, Peter. I was going to install my vibe 400.1 and wire it to the footwell woofers, but after 2 minutes starting to take out the glove box, the weather was too nice, so I ditched that idea and went a drive

£10 heat resistant paint.
Maybe not be everyones style but I think it looks much better with the wrap.
Got those aftermarket taillights off eBay.
-Found the previous owner tapped in the reverse cam into one, and just wrapped the copper around with no soldering...
Might be why it was so intermittent.
-Fixed that
-The rubber boot for sealing had to be cut off and placed into the grommet to have the light fit right (was the only thing not mentioned in the instructions)

Personally, I think the rear lights really bring it up to date, but I'm not biased
I never refitted the original grommets, though, as there was a foam seal already on the new lights.

Yeah I was confused by the instructions when they mentioned to do it. I just cut out the the part that sandwiches on the cutout to stop any possible water getting through which seemed to work without the rest of the housing. Probably overkill.
Definitely brings the rear look up to date.
My E89 rear big brake kit (345mm/370mm) continues..after input from a long experienced kit car builder / sports car renovator I’ve re-iterated the adapter bracket…up from 10mm to 15mm thick, 12mm bolt holes down from 13mm to 12mm and milled mounts to obviate the need for spacer washers..prototype development at an old friend’s workshop with a recalcitrant old milling machine…FWIW the original bracket I used for a basis used on E90s has none of those features..

Peter, do you need me to sell you back the rears you kindly sold to me some years ago?? Save you all this pain? 
(And before anyone gets the idea I am serious, they are not for sale - unless you want to make a crazy offer I can’t refuse for the whole car!)

Very kind..I’m trying to get to a point where it’s a safe , repeatable production level possibility..not that many folks will want it..but heh..everyone complained about a lack of a viable E89 rear BBK..
