What have you done to your car today?

Waxed it this morning,
and then realised the heated seats don't work LOL, 3 lights flash then off , I'll go thread hunting later
On the up side weather supposed to be on th up

5 ltrs is cheap as chips once you consider how much it dilutes down and how versatile it is. Used it to clean the roof fabric on my E85, it’s very effective :thumbsup:

Sadly chips are cheap anymore 😔. It’s a great product, I use it for loads of things around the garage and house.

Boarded the ferry to Newcastle today, ready for the NC500 :driving:

Won’t be going alone either, with [ref]joelvdrZ4C[/ref] in his silver machine and Max in the Maldives catalogue spec roadster

Dropped the rear subrframe... Not a small job :thumbsdown:

But it is now safely tucked in the garage ready for brake refurb & bushings :driving: Shovel was used to keep the hubs up and prevent them from dragging on the floor :rofl:

Did the wiper motor clean up again as the wipers wouldn’t rest in the correct place, thanks to Sk93 ‘s superb tutorial. Got away without removing the fuse box lid. Obviously didn’t do it properly last time :thumbsdown: However they still bounce up about 5mm before resting, have to live with that. :D

Got my hydraulic steering conversion done by Zed Shed. Car steers amazingly now, however its steered badly for years so can't compare with a fully functioning Zed fairly. Just need a proper fast road alignment and we're golden!

Good to hear you finally got it done :thumbsup:

Dropped preview few posts back but here’s the final product. New leather, perforated sides, BMW individual trim and matching graphite switches.

Also reinstalled my repaired headliner, spot on match to the original factory fabric.

Excellent results! The new wheel looks great. Never knew they did a silver individual trim :thumbsup: every day’s a school day

Had Steve from VoodooDents.com over to sort my E85 this morning - Previously trading as ‘Dent pusher’.

The re-brand has changed the name, but not the skill and results, total genius - just brilliant.

Edit - updated with some photo’s. Small dings are really difficult to photograph, but there were plenty of them at the start of today :|

The one below was the most obvious and was quite nasty, but there were numerous minor ones on the doors and both rear wings;

Here’s the after shots;

Loving the insta trip updates. Spectacular scenery, much envy/wanderlust. Hoping to tackle it next year on the bike.

[ref]Calps[/ref], you know- I actually had those in my hand first :rofl:

Appreciate the kind words! It’s an endless rollercoaster of amazement and awe, a real must for any driving enthusiast- be it on two wheels or four. I plan on going back with my GF either next year or the one after on the bikes too, so by all means let me know how you get on :thumbsup:

Noticed something hanging down under the car the other day. Jacked it up and it was the under tray that covers the battery cable and fuel/brake lines, two of the studs were missing (scraped off at some point). Welded two new studs and reinstalled the tray with new nuts.
