Yes mate, new from BMW.

I installed the freshly restored diff carrier yesterday, a big job for one guy but doable.
11 new rubber bushings and the diff completely overhauled with new bearings, seals and a ratio change from 3.64:1 to 3.91:1
Nice, that's my winter project too! I'm very close to going for a 4.44 as it's purely a track car these days, on the fence though, 4.1?

Final Clean and dry before the M goes away into winter hibernation.
Fitted the Schmiedmann splitter before it went away, I think it looks ace but christ I dunno. How long it'll last like that, its awfully low!
Roll on spring '23 already!!
Looking good Ed 8) I'm finally feeling the need for some aero stuff, BGW coming next year I think along with some kind of splitter I guess.
Wondering whether to SORN and lock mine tomorrow too or one last fling to Spa week tuesday

Having a 4.1 Tom I reckon that's enough for track, 1st is now entirely redundant, and mine will spin my 10j 265 section rears in 2nd in a straight line if I floor it at any revs (Michelin pss tyres)
.. I can't imagine what a 4.4 would feel like especially as yours is more powerful than mine!

What sort of aero are you looking at? I think the coupe looks great with a naughty rear wing and splitter, especially as yours is a proper track car too. By the way I need to talk to you about respraying, tempted to get a few bits on mine done and want them done properly... I'll pm you separately.

Let me know how spa goes - you can't turn that opportunity down

As it was a dry day today I decided to wash and wax the car. Also hoovered the inside. Made a lot of effort cleaning the wheels and the car looked fab. Decided to take a drive with the wife to Bovey Tracey and onto the moors. Unfortunately the moors were muddy and now so is the car :headbang:

A rare day off yesterday so 250 mile drive up to Inverurie and back to see about a new dog. Not one Z4 spotted on the entire journey but managed the outward journey with the roof down....

Car will be valeted this week and put away for winter. Leaving it taxed though, just in case we get the odd nice day....

I sorned mine this evening - tomorrow i will clip on the battery life support and cover the car with my extended cotton dust sheet.

)I bought two bed sheets and had the stitched together a few years ago and they do the job very nicely )

My birthday today, 21  hmmmm. I wish. Took the day off and wife and I went for a little road trip to Mortenhampstead via a couple of garden centres and then onto Ivybridge garden centre, roof down all the way. Lovely roads, sun was out, cups of coffee and cake along the way. Rain coming home. Really enjoyable and car mucky.

Finally managed to collect my rear subframe from the wheel refurb centre and decided to go for a silvery grey finish instead of the bog standard black. Also had the anti roll bars and exhaust bracket done in the same finish.

And spent the evening pressing in the OEM rubber subframe bushes including the side differential bush. Pretty pleased with the end result :D

Looks great ! :happyclap: A job I'll probably tackle in the spring and was thinking of silver or grey powder coat also. Can you give me a link to the kit you have for removing/pressing in the bushes please?

Thanks, looks better in natural daylight although it'll be hidden when in situ

Here's the link to the press kit...
Professional Pull Press Sleeve... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SQZTR77?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

You'll need a 22mm spanner, preferably a rachet spanner as it works really well and I used some ptfe lube which is rubber friendly. Some use washing up liquid but I'd prefer to use the ptfe specialist spray from WD40.

Preparing for winter storage…Today paint decontamination & wash, roof deep cleaned and protected with the BMW hood kit.

Managed to get the Z4MC laser aligned using Hunter tech. Front o/s toe was off by a couple of minutes only but somewhat noticeable. Now it drives so much better and feels more planted :D

I sorned my car on the 31st October and the Dvla cheque arrived 4th November- today I attached the battery maintenance charger - and I suspect just in time as it showed 11.8 v at the start of the process.
