What have you done to your car today?

Just finished giving mine a good wash. Used a pressure washer attached to a hosepipe, then rinsed it down after the wash again with a hosepipe and even rinsed the drive down afterwards using the hosepipe on full blast.

Living up North has it’s advantages :poke:

Not the car (well, I snowfoamed, handwashed then polished her) but I powerwashed my monoblock drive, makes the car look good sitting on a nice clean drive on a bright summers day!! :D

Removed my broken driver's side cup-holder - sure enough half of the arm was rattling about inside it in 2 pieces!

Luckily I had bought a pair on the forum back when they were hard to find so I already had a replacement.

Flushed with success I decided I'd better polish up the exhaust tips before I go to BMW Somerfest on Sunday.

I’ve been contemplating the Angel eyes but with so many others disappointed in the bulbs was nervous.

But I bought these NOVSIGHT H11 H8 H9 LED Headlight Bulbs 55W/Pair 10000LM 6000K 1:1 Mini Design Car Replacement Lights of Halogen and Xenon Kit 2 Lamps https://amzn.eu/d/a6DCzk0

Fit and finish is perfect as is the performance. Nice even light spread. The inner ring is always going to be brighter by design as is the original units.

But a nice crisp white light👍😎

That is a nice car! I very nearly bought one before I set eyes on my latest. 😎👍

Will never get tired of pictures of a clean, polished, well kept e85. Beauty simplified.

Well my exhaust tips were in poor order and at £55 each I thought I would polish them. However on inspection the corrosion had gone through to the copper layer as they were the Aluminium finish.

So scotch brite for a key then etch primmer. Then baked at 80 degrees for 30 minutes to cure.

Then satin black acrylic for the finish and baked again.

Results are just what I wanted to continue the look.

Those exhaust tips look excellent!!! Good job indeed!!

On the subject of exhaust tips, what options to buy new ones/replacements are out there? Mine are a bit beyond polishing as well, I think.

I think the tips are a push fit so can be removed. Then you can measure the outer diameter of the pipes and search for something the right size.

Mine had removable tips and I took them off to clean them and thought it looked better without them on so I just polished the tail-pipes as they're stainless.

The coupe hasn't worn the MV2's for a long time so time to get them ready for someone else.....listing shortly.

Still a good looking wheel though... probably why I've not considered selling till now...

Passed MOT without problems. Exhaust looked shaky (to my eye) during the shock absorber test and had a chat with inspector, nice chap, who checked the hangers are intact.
