What have you done to your car today?

not today but installed the aFe intake a while ago. In my opinion the sound is spot on for me

Interested in your views on the AFE. How did you find it changes the sound? Is it similar to the sound generator ie a relatively smooth noise?

Follow the guide on here to fix your wiper parking issue, its straightforward but be careful with the scuttle cover clips, they break when trying to remove them. Once in there two nuts and a plastic clip and wires disconnected will have the unit out. Take the opportunity to clean the scuttle out and clear ther centre and end drains. Once you have taken the backplate of the wiper unit off and cleaned all the migrated grease off the contact plate don't be tempted to regrease the motor spindle and drive with loads of new grease a smear is good enough otherwise it will again migrate over the contact plate. Button it all up and replace your wiper arms and then run to check parking position, adjust them on the spindles if required.

Made further progress with correcting the E85’s paintwork. Lovely bit of flake pop emerging now :thumbsup: ;

I think I’m going to push the boat out, sell my current DA machine, and buy a Rupes though 8)

Completed my first job on the Z4 today. Replaced the starter motor with a new one, surprised how easy it was. Thanks go to Bigwin for his excellent tutorial on the same 2.2 as mine. Found some Torx sockets inherited from my father in law and converted an old handle from a cheap 1970s socket set I bought for my first car. E12 did the job helped by a 20mm ring spanner. Really can’t believe I was going to a garage to have this done and actually enjoyed doing it and no swearing! only fly in the ointment was that Euro parts in Newton Abbot and Torquay didn’t have any in stock :headbang: so had to drive wife’s car to Exeter to get one. Will remember next time to check first before I start dismantling. Now I’m on a roll the next job is the windscreen wipers that are not resting where they should.
For future reference, don't forget ECP do deliver too. I go through TopCashBack and get around 3% back as well.

Sold it. The 2.2 that is. Pending successful MOT, to a young lad from Corby called Dan.
I've pointed him in the direction of the forum already.
Oh, and he loves those wheels. :D
So now I need to retrieve the 'on loan' freeleeta and get that sorted!

It's this one.
Auto, heated memory seats, folding mirrors, satnav, cd multi-changer.
Got a few issues. Passenger door outer handle doesn't work, front and rear bumpers both slightly misaligned, alloys need a refurb.
Plus I'll be doing the vanos, shocks, bushes, droplinks etc, as per normal.
And all the other 101 things that crop up as you go along.

Got myself an early birthday present: an individual wheel 8) same shape and size as the M, but with the addition of the inlay around the rim. As ever, it won’t stay this way… subtle mods incoming :driving:

Well it's sailed through the MOT this morning with not a single advisory, so I must have done something right :D
New owner is just itching to get over and collect it now!
Be sad to see it go tbh. Not the biggest engine, but with that closer ratio 5-speed box it's ideally suited to Norfolk B-roads.
It's been fun.

I find it a little louder than the sound gen however it coupled with a BB delete
