What have you done to your car today?

Great, same colour as mine!

Few days ago I've noticed uneven idle, later on occasional stumble, finally a DISA code in DME. Did the test through INPA, I could hear something moving but the sound wasn't always the same. Today I pulled both DISA valves and what I found? The small one occasionally gets stuck in partially open position, while the flap from the big one is completely gone!

Now the big question is - where is this flap? I have the intake manifold in my hands, can't see it anywhere, nothing is rattling inside either, intake ports are clear.

I guess the flap broke up before going awol, if it’s entirely made of plastic maybe it got digested by the engine without causing mechanical armageddon? :?

Finally fitted the Amazon Echo Auto I bought a while ago. Car already had aux installed by previous owner and I added micro USB power to it via a piggy back fuse. Secured everything behind the dash and velcroed the Echo Auto to the back of the panel under the radio. Now when I get in the car it connects automatically and all I have to do is tell Alexa what I want to play.

I'll probably rarely use this new feature though as I prefer the sound of the i6 :D :D :D

Oh and also installed a new cabin filter while I was upside down in the passenger footwell. Not a comfy place to be for an hour or so.

Checked the battery cells for drying out from being on the conditioner for the last 4 months. All good , no need to top up. Also dusted off the fine dust that gets through the dust cover and just need to lower the tyre pressures as over inflated while in hibernation. Roll on April 1st to get it out and on the road again :driving:

Finished the interior and looking fresh! Just waiting for the stereo buttons to arrive...

The steering wheel buttons were the hardest to wrap. Got some tips from Katrina Lee and they turned out okay.

Just discs, pads, sensors, 1 alloy refurb and two new tyres on the rear and we're good to go - roll on April 12th!!20210321_121714.jpg20210321_121732.jpg20210321_121743.jpg20210321_121750.jpg20210321_121759.jpg20210321_122149.jpg

Finished installing my newly re-trimmed heated seats
First set I have done for 15 years
Quite happy with them they are not perfect but ok for me

Started to put it back together. Tried some G Tec Matte Dash finish for a new car feel. 20210320_085509.jpg20210320_085523.jpg20210320_105919.jpg20210320_111036.jpg

I’ve bought stolen recovered stripped cars at auction with more left inside them than that

Looking great once all put back together

Thanks, can't wait to drive it now, hopefully I'll remember where the 3 screws I have left are meant to go before something falls off.

Yesterday I replaced the front shocks and springs, today the rear. Dead tired but pleased with results, car feels much better. Used the Bilstein b4 and Suplex m sport equivalent combo. So, front left strut 75% cracked in a circular shape, both rear shocks totally dead and one rear spring very corroded.
