What have you done to your car today?

Well, this is more like "what have you done to your car over the last month" but here it goes:
- had front control arms replaced (all bushes were shot), sway bar links and oil pan gasket; went to get everything aligned - turned out there was also play in the steering rack, so had that rebuilt and finally aligned - I wanted Z4M angles, but they could't quite reach the camber at the front.
- had my lovely caramel leather seats fixed - driver's seat cushion was collapsed, the leather was torn, worn and discoloured. The cushion was glued together plus an original spring was added (for some reasons M-sport seats don't have them), a few bits of leather were replaced and finally both seats received a fresh coat of leather paint. Awesome! I even made a nice collage for you.
- engine & diff oil change (transmission was done recently during clutch job)
- new wiper blades
- mild compound & polish & wax
- got a tyre repair kit for my 2000km trip next week
- a few small other things
Still waiting for a cooling fan motor, xenon headlight adjustment sensor, power window switch module, driveshaft center support bearing... but I feel like I'm nearly there!

That's the best fitting radio adapter i've seen so worth noting.
I think lots of the fascias trade off the stereo fitment/angles against the flushness around the vents. I'd prefer the fit you have there and let the stereo appear slightly angled.
Sent my midnight blue car in for a couple of days of TLC with David Burton (dbdetailing) down in Chelsea. Judging by the early results so far it'll literally be a different car tomorrow. After 15 years it was certainly in need of some attention.

Took mine into our local BMW specialist to sort out the squealing belts and more importantly, the squeaky steering!
It's had the tensioners, pulleys and belts replaced, new rear top mounts as they were gone (suspension was knocking even though it has new springs and dampers) and the steering rack greased.....steering still squeaks when warm, argh!

Based on my experience I'd absolutely recommend db detailing in London. David is a very genuine chap and clearly does it as a passion as much as a business.
