What have you done to your car today?

Pulled the cluster out, cleaned it all up, and encased the super master inconvenient beeper in double sided foam tape.

BEEP BEEP BEEP...
Now it's like: beep beep beep...

Dropped the car off at its second home ( Race By Design ) to have some more extras added.

Window tints - Windscreen banner - Gtechniq Roof Treatment. Pretty sure the first two will be controversial LOL... :D

Either way cant wait to pick it up again once its all finished!

Isn’t that a fire risk from the board heating up?

Fitted a genuine ZHP gear knob and plugged in my new Carly adapter. Cleared some ancient faults and then coded a load of things that I can’t believe weren’t switched on by default.

Slightly annoyed that I couldn’t get the live data to work on Carly

Fitted some spacers today - 25mm rear & 20mm front. I know this is slightly higher than what seems to be most popular on here (20 / 15). If there's any issues with rubbing in the coming weeks I'll be changing them though. I'm happy with them, gives it a much more aggressive look :D Excuse the dirt, will be getting a good clean soon!

Torque Pro via android + BT works.

Removed the washer bottle as I was getting virtually no water to windscreen or headlights. Filters were blocked.

All good now and ready for Thursday's MOT.

I started a bit of a mini-project today. My driver side headlight and two fog lights have a lot of moisture in them so my intention was to take out the headlight and dry it, and while having the bumper off remove the fog lights and install blanking covers. As soon as I took the headlight out it was pretty obvious how the water was getting in as the back cover fell straight onto the ground, so if it was attached it wasn’t secure (new one in order).

This has now evolved into a few other bits that I discovered, including replacing the two engine splash guards (which are an eye watering £130 each!), repair of the under engine protecter, new bulbs, repair broken horn wire, identifying what suspension it is on and replacing a few missing bolts / screws.

Rewarding but it’s not the quick or cheap fix I was starting out on.

First big clean of the year yesterday. Car up on axle stands, wheels off, arches, underbody and engine bay, door and boot shuts. MOT today...passed with no advisories :D  20210110_191837.jpg

And passed with no advisories.

Will be detailed once the weather gets better and potentially sold due to lack of use.

Let's see.

Fitted replacement boot struts having sent the original OEM ones off to be regassed.

Now the boot opens all the way by itself (even with parcel shelf hooked on), so I don't keep hitting my head on the latch!
