Had it recovered home on the back of a flatbed after my starter motor apparently gave up the ghost with zero warning. Went to pick up the takeaway last night, started fine, 15 minute drive, engine off to pick up the food then just nothing when I tried to restart. All the electrics seem to be fine but no turnover.

Spent an hour waiting for the AA/local recovery; first boy who turned up tried the ‘hitting it’ solution but no dice, so a flatbed was ordered. Going to look into things today but I’m pretty sure it just needs a new starter, going by the other threads on here.

Great photo, may i ask how you took it and did you edit it on the phone / camera or use software?

Cheers mate.

Taken on a Sony A7iii with a Samyang 85mm 1.4

Quick edit in Snapseed (phone editing software)

Went to take my Coupe out for a spin but then noticed grit on the road. Tucked her back inside until the roads are of decent nature. :)

Today I started retrofitting the OEM interior door handle led, door pocket led and puddle lamps on the passenger door. I’m making notes and taking photos to write up a “How to” for anyone interested. I’m using the OEM BMW “projector” puddle lamps plus doing it such that it’s all plug and play - no splicing into the OEM wiring loom. When finished I’ll post up the “How to”.

Sounds brilliant, look forward to the how to guide

Took the zed out for a nice 30 minute "spirited" drive during the sunset as it hasn't been used in over a week (sacrilege I know).

This was a necessity as during this cold weather the battery is struggling to maintain charge  and any longer and I would have had to jump it. I promise I wont leave it as long between drives next time! :P

I’ll hopefully be putting the fully wired up door card back on and plumbing in the power to it tomorrow. I’m taking photos along the way. I just wish I had a nice warm garage to work in instead of freezing my bits off out the back!!

I can safely confirm my car - which doesn’t have the lighting pack - is not pre wired - I’m having to wire it all the way back to the footwell module.

Cheers

Picked my Maxton design spoiler lip up from the painters. Will upload a picture on the weekend once fitted B05824BB-496E-4CF4-A45B-FDFDE59E4659.jpeg

Its my daily driver and I just happened to not drive it for a week, so not really needed but thanks for the suggestion. I will probably think about getting one for when we are eventually allowed to go on holiday again!

Fitted cup holders, no more burnt crotch from the occasions where I have a coffee in the car.

Arrived yesterday(30/12) having been ordered on the 19th from Ali express. Seemed it was air freighted from China. £50 for both sides inc postage.

Fitted some spacers to the winter wheels to help them fill the arches a bit... still need to find new summer wheels.

SORN'd it. :(

The weather isn't great, the roads have got salt on them, I'm in Tier 4 and there's nowhere to go so I thought I might as well save the money!

I'll see if things are any better at the end of the month.

Tier 4 is not stopping me going for a drive. I would rather have my car ready go than bother about saving a few quid having it SORN'd.
