What have you done to your car today?

Drove my 2.2 on Monday to work (though at 68 I should not bother!) and the brake warning light came on and though I turned it off it came on again :( .
So I did the obvious and removed the sensors on the hubs and using an old toothbrush cleaned them and the serations they read. Someone before me had had a go at the nearside rear as the bolt holding the sensor was missing and the stagging on the driveshaft was not as factory  . I ran an M6 tap through the hole and fitted a new screw. The car was now ready and the light went out and stayed out 8) . Warning lights are a mixed blessing.

Car has just come back from BMR Performance after having her Inspection II and rod bearings replaced (preventative maintenance) with ACL bearings and ARP fasteners. A few other bits replaced and fixed.

Z4M has done 67k with good history and seems to be some good wear on the bearings...

Also had the Schmiedmann front splitter fitted..

Looks lovely. Can you take some more pictures?

Just replaced my leather gaiters to alcantara. Also changed to a alcantara performance knob and alcantara handbrake handle.

Looks good, where did you get the gear & handbrake gaiters from? And if you don’t mind me asking how much was they?

They're cool  Were the gaitors designed for the e85 or did you have to get creative? I’ve not seen a great deal of alcantara options off the shelf

Gaiters from Redlinegoods on Amazon. Both cost me £87 Inc postage. Gaiters were both for E85 but fit E86. Handbrake gaiter pain to fit tho.

Finished Bluetooth install with mic on my E85 so moved to bumper removal to fix a lug and to refurb lights and undertake a LED bulb upgrade 👍

Snap! They match well don’t they

I got mine from j-f-customs on eBay. They’ll do whatever you like, just message them. About £30 all in.

Sounds a good price, are you happy with the quality?

I sold them on again in this forum and they were still in great nick. The fit, finish and material were all good. You have to remove the leather from the existing handbrake structure to then pull the new alcantara taut then glue underneath (I sparingly used impact adhesive which worked fine). Because of that I bought an alternative handbrake gaiter to butcher just in case!

Went and had my 19”s freshly powder coated; took the opportunity to have them in Shadow Chrome.

Works well

I tried clay bar for the first time today on the zed. What magical stuff. I am now a believer!

First used a fallout remover, then a quick wash (wasn't very dirty), finished by claying and waxing the whole car.
The clay was filthy from all the embedded tar and muck!

I went to sit in the garden with my nephew and had a pleasant surprise to find that he and his partner had my 4 year old great-niece with them for the day. :D

Took a slightly longer route home to visit Epson Downs for a walk, but all the car parks were closed off! Everyone was parking on the verge but I didn't fancy trying that with a lowered car on 19" wheels!

So I went to Epsom Common instead.
