The dash is the standard carbon whatever it is called and the carbon in fill bit that replaces the vent is a sheet of carbon I did notice it was going the other way if if gets to me I will make another but for now I need to push on with rebuilding the rear end as today had a set back time wise with the hub and wheel bearings being too tight for me to get them apart so they are at a garage for a week then at the powder coaters for another week and the diff requiring a service that will be a week as well
I can only work on the z at weekends

I sold it (my 3.0Si that is) to a new forum member. After more than 3 and a half years it was a bit sad seeing it being driven away. :(

So I took the M for a quick drive with no destination and that cheered me up no end!

Fitted my mewant steering wheel cover. Feckin ball ache of a job!!

Looking very tidy and neat. I'm looking to do similar oil temp, pressure and amps. In the satnav position. 👍🏻

This weekend I replaced the atmospheric pressure boot vents. Managed to do it from inside without the need to remove the rear bumper. 64F2C975-F556-4DA2-A772-64779FEC7C48.jpeg

Oh and also the oil cooler and oil filter housing gaskets.

Cheers

Gave it a good clean and polish having covered a good few miles during the last week on wet and quite dirty roads. That was before any winter salt went down. I’ll not be taking it out on damp roads again this side of spring now that gritting has begun. It’s all clean and shiny again now and tucked up in the garage hooked up to the solar Optimate.

Any links, images for the Solar Optimate, I'm needing one as my garage doesn't have power!

This is the one I’ve got. https://www.optimate.co.uk/products/optimate-solar-20w
Not cheap but a quality product. The solar panel is mounted on the garage roof. I keep it hooked up most of the time. I’m also planning to get a leisure battery to keep topped up with it and run some 12v LED strip lights in the garage.

I got it on E bay hope this helps

Couldn't sleep - watched DI valve cleaning videos for a motor I don't have :D and then ordered fuel additive to clean my NA valves for the rest of their days ( a 12 pk case) and ordered brake pads and gear oil to flush the gear box and diff.

Let the OH drive it for the first time. I don’t make a good passenger but she loved it so hopefully more leeway when I want to spend more money on it.

That's a result!

Your OH looks pretty happy in the photo too, so you just need to get stuck into the modifications now.

 More of a result than you’ll ever know. She’s most definitely not a car person but loves the Z4. She’s really got into it and has been asking about going on some of the Scottish runs, particularly the overnight ones so we’ve been looking at the events and seeing what works date wise so hoping to meet some of you soon. The one incorporating Skye is leading the list at the moment
