What have you done to your car today?

Today was spent cleaning and taking out the last of the little scratches with polishing compound and a final coat of wax

Had some difficult news today, so spent a few hours with the DA correcting a bit more of the Coupe’s paintwork... takes my mind of things, despite being hard work...A561B210-EA1F-4F65-869F-FCC3F5AB7950.jpeg03ECCC55-C9A8-4838-BBB9-65B8ED030091.jpeg

Great finish. Hope all is OK or at least works out OK.

Thank you, funeral of a close friend on Thursday (43) and one of my other close friends (42) passed away on Wednesday. A very sad week.

Today I changed my spark plugs, after recent rough firing and one β€œcylinder 6 misfire”. First time I’ve done spark plugs so was a bit apprehensive, but it was very easy indeed.

I also sorted my hard top, which was making a noise over 40mph. The allen bolt was rounded so couldn’t do much, but tried a suitably sized Torx, and it turned easily. It looks like it wasn’t fully tightened.

Went for a test drive, and engine sweet and no roof noise!

For the third time this year, someone drove into my car in a car park! So f'ing annoyed :x Difference is this time I was sat in the car and it's the first time I had it happen since I fitted my dashcam. He clipped the passenger-side front as he drove into the space next to me too quickly and didn't judge the size of his car right (it was a Saab 9-5 - they have very long front overhangs). Corner is scratched up and I think he broke the clips in behind holding the front wing and bumper together. Only saving grace is I was already looking to get a front-end respray done soon... plus it was only scratches, the worst will buff out. He was really apologetic, but still it was such a bullshit move to try and swing that thing into the space that fast.

Feels like I'm doomed with this car; I love it but more and more I'm looking at replacing it for something else once I relocate back up to Scotland. It's cat S from the initial hit over a year ago, then the 3 subsequent hits have really taken their toll on the front bumper and wings. Fear is if I get a respray, the same thing is just going to happen again :|

Thanks to whoever it was that put the link on Facebook for the bluetooth cable the other week. Works a treat πŸ‘
