What have you done to your car today?

A quick clean, scrubs up well for 16 years old and 135,000 miles

I then checked the fluids just to make sure my replacement coolant top hose had stopped the coolant leak. All fixed 8)

£62 for that small hose. Depressing, but needs must!

Red hood..... Mmmmmm

Painted a caliper!
Yep, just the one as started late, but really pleased with the outcome.
I took inspiration from Tom Scott's calipers - Orange on Silver Grey...
Rub Down and de-greased

And on the car - only 3 more to go!!! :(

While the wheel was off, I polished, waxed and added Meguiars Ceramic wax. Can't wait to see if this works!

Decided to man up and remove my washer reservoir cos the jets were giving the impression of an old man with prostate trouble. After reading stuff on here I removed the pumps, got the tank out and spent 20 minutes de-gunking the filters. They were covered in “jelly”. Put everything back in and now have full power windscreen jets. Yay!

Nice work 8)

I once did this to an orange focus st I had. I quickly regretted it once I drove the car a few times and the brake dust covered the orange calipers  but if you clean them regularly, then it's not a problem.

MOT pass and brake pipes front to back replaced as "advised"

Oooh, mine passed last week and they said that my brake pipes were starting to corrode. They rubbed them down and greased them but they will need replaced at some point. Can I ask what you paid for their replacement?

Thanks, I might polish and wax them to hopefully reduce this and protect them more!

£130 but that was at mates rates. They apparently were not too bad to do, ie better than doing an E46!

Put the CSL’s back on :driving:

I had my S54 VANOS, timing chain (quite a bit of stretch in it! :o )and timing guide replaced and the valve clearance checked and corrected where required. Well.... I didn't do it - Steven himself from Mr. VANOS did all of that. The engine now runs quieter and smoother and the 'holes' in the torque delivery below 3000rpm have virtually vanished. Very happy with the result. My biggest surprise was the slack in the chain due to the stretch.
Worth mentioning that Steven seems a really nice bloke as well as he knows what he's doing.

Looks like a really good job there  Really glossy! How did you spray it, with a spray can or gun?

Fitted two Garmin 56’s, one each to the Z & the Mrs’ new ride...

Crazily good small device, with amazing features of WiFi connectivity, IOS app & multi device hookup

Flossed the wheels - well that’s the best description on how to clean MV2s...

just loving the red hood

If that's in reference to my Z4 then thankyou :D so glad I got it done years ago. At first I dyed my black fabric roof, but didn't achieve the look I wanted, so I decided to chuck some money monsoons way and get a replacement fitted.

My mates call my car red riding good  but I don't care. It looks great to my eyes!
