What have you done to your car today?

Agreed a deal on a set of ‘Manhart Concave One’, forged wheels for my E86.

Collecting Sunday evening, and will probably need a spacer for the rears, so may be a week or two until pic’s on the car.

Not cheap, but can’t find a photo of these on an E86 (or E85), so hopefully unique ....and not in a bad way  :D

No trips around Spanish mountain roads for me, just an hour or two using my £2.99 ebay drill attachment on my headlights. I'm not jealous at all! Quite pleased with the results though.

Could you post a link to what bought please? This is one of my next jobs!
I can't seem to post a link on my phone, but the title is "100pc 50mm Sanding Discs Polishing Pad 80-3000 Grit Hook Loop Palm Shank Drill". It wasn't £2.99 but £4.59.
I used one of each grade on each light with lots of water. Each pad became detached as I was finished with it due to the water but more than sufficient and you get ten of each grade so plenty to do a few cars. No UV sealant but I just waxed it a could of times and I'll see how it goes. I thought it was okay for the money.

Anyone in the m300jq area wants to look has around an hour and a half before it is all back together

Removed my whippy aerial and fitted my "semi-whippy". Very pleased with it - thanks to lucasxdiniz for the link.

Trial by fire today. Convertible top motor started to crap out so I relocated it to the trunk. The motor looks great and it was just low on fluid, which also likely means it is leaking somewhere. :(

Well, we are back after our trip to Spain - some good driving - car performed well. Driving in France a bit boring with all the fact bits but fun driving nonetheless.

Over 2,000+ miles travelled and over 45 hours driving time on this trip:

Here is my rescued Bodeguero Rey enjoying the ride:

And my partner snapped this picture from her car whilst we were stuck in traffic just outside Bordeaux, a nice reflection in the highly polished tanker surface 8)

New eBay exhaust fitted. Very pleased so far, about to go for a proper blast in a bit. Incidentally a lot lighter than the old one.

Hi profCJJ like your gorgeous new friend
Looks at home in passenger seat. Will need a lot of walking keep you fit

Thanks. I’ve had Rey a few years now and he is my constant companion. He was found wandering the streets in Ubeda in Spain. I drove down to pick him up and back over 5 days - a 3,000+ Mile round trip (I didn’t have the Z4 then). His companionship has saved my life in more ways than one over the tough events I’ve been through over the last few years. As you say, lots of walks 😎

Hola Rey! 👋👋

How far into Spain did you go?

You made me a bit jealous seeing your drive pictures. I keep toying with the idea of driving my Zeddie all the way down to our place in Córdoba, although that would eat up most of a week’s holiday break. 👍

Titanium bleed nipples... mmmmmm... they are almost as light as a feather

Each year we go to Madrid, in the Sierras to the north to be precise (Miraflores de la Sierra). We could do in about 20 hours if we just take naps in the cars etc. but with two cars and the dogs (4 in total!) for the last few years we have broken up the trip over 3 days, spending two nights in motorway hotels - that we we have at most 6 hours driving in one day. Its great fun driving - especially through the North of Spain.

In the past I have driven down to Sevilla (waving to Cordoba as we go by :)) a few times to rescue our dogs - all 4 (were 5, sadly one died to Cancer) came from Andalusia where abandoning/cruelty to dogs is at its worst in Spain!

Gave her a clean and taken fresh pics with regards to putting her up for sale BUT can’t bring myself round to do it 😫😫😫😫😫😫😫😫

A quick clean, scrubs up well for 16 years old and 135,000 miles

I then checked the fluids just to make sure my replacement coolant top hose had stopped the coolant leak. All fixed 8)

£62 for that small hose. Depressing, but needs must!

Just had Hunter alignment done.

All ok but REAR left - the guy said he’s adjusted it to the maximum and said the cause may be worn RTAB bush.

Any thoughts?

Which bush do I need for Rear trailing arm - both listings say they will fit but look different

EDIT : Found the answer using Realoem - it’s the first type I need.
Thanks
