ZHP on the way for me too. Do you just wiggle and pull it ( no double nob entendres here please  ) to make it come off and then just push and twist it on ?

It'll come off how you describe, but fitting the new one just needs a bit of a whack - no twisting required.

And a ZHP is definitely an improvement!
Cool, Mr Tidy  I wont mention it to the latest wife and see if she notices my nobs different :driving:

I change the interior light unit, the old on the one of the bulbs had gone and the small led was not working.
The old unit looked a bit black at the back :|
I changed it for a later version? and put an led bulb in. much better.
{However I can't get the two map reading lights to work , even though the bulbs are working and in ok??)

that is the base spec version you've replaced yours with, its if you dont spec 'extended lighting' it doesnt have map reading lights, i have one in my car - its the 'poverty' spec one

Inspected for oil leaks (had a hell of a time with the valvetronic seal on my N52). Read the spark plugs for signs of running rich or lean or too hot. Checked for signs of excessive blowby due to the supercharger after noticing for the first time ever that between oil changes the digital gauge indicated that the engine was less than 100% full. The oil isn't low and I haven't added any since the valvetronic seal was leaking.

Hi replaced front widow rubber seal £30 from dealers very easy to fit took all of 30 minutes sorted.
The old one was rock hard and came away in pieces must have been there from new :driving:

Just had my water pump changed on 08 2.5 e85..... did it fix the issue.... turns out the stat needs doing as well, that’ll be tomorrow then.

Bit of nob pulling and twisting tonight and almost smacking the old one in my face :o
And this looks so much better

Swapped out my stock grilles for some gloss black ones to match my CSL replicas in gloss black!

Literally a minute and a half job and looks so much meaner.

I've also ordered one of those ZHP gear knobs - I don't understand how a £70 gear knob can be so highly reviewed by everyone so I guessed there was only one way to find out, I hope it's worth it :D

Replaced the mangled d/s wiper arm with a secondhand unit so now the blade cleans the whole of the sweep area and doesn't leave a semi-circle of rain/dirt at the bottom of the screen. So cathartic! No matter what I did I couldn't get the old arm back into the standard shape.

Went for an amazing night in this Shepherds hut and toured a few NationalTrust while we traveled there and back! 79A6A324-3E1C-4A56-A482-76F9AFA7E008.jpeg5A037987-F91C-4045-BFAD-DFBBC45CF7D4.jpegAF652D81-B344-4802-86F5-4E002D41D148.jpeg05A6B4EF-634F-4C8D-B052-DF5434E86021.jpegx

IIRC someone on here (not me but I'll spare their blushes !) when changing his gearknob elbowed the windscreen and cracked the glass ! :o

I didnt think the twisting and yanking was making any impact in leaving the gearlever, then it went and shot passed my face , in a weird like kung fu flash :?
I guess we have all had moments like that before :|

I read that they can be a royal pain to remove... imagine the look on my face when mine pulled off right in the middle of some spirited driving. :driving: Must be broken, I guess it's time to order a new one.
