What have you done to your car today?

well its more of an if than a what :?
do I stand out there in the rain washing my car

I must be off my head!
went out in the rain and gave the car a quick wash off.
mainly the dirty wheels.
I need help.
normal people do not stand out in the rain washing the car. :?

Dropped my second-hand, newly purchased 107s off at First Aid Wheels in North London for a refurb - was impressed when they said they should be ready before the end of next week! Going by how busy they always seems to be, I was planning for them to be in the new year.

Also fitted my replacement brake pressure control sensors - no more warning messages! New interior door handle covers arrived as well, so no more falling off every time I open the doors!

You are not alone, I have done this a few times and can almost feel the neighbors stares out the windows while they point and laugh

At least you get a free rinse out of the deal, I’ve been guilty of this a few times myself

Did you not fancy going for their exchange service? Or did they not have any in stock?

Didn’t actually do something to the car today but bagged this on eBay for €31

Interesting - I’ve just bought one that looks exactly the same! Perhaps the seller had two and used the same photo. We wil see! :o
i noticed that yesterday also on eBay...but he had different item numbers so I assume just used the same pic. I’ll let you know when mine lands :?

Mine arrived, after having to head to the collection office and paying £16 in import taxes though... without a red slips through the door!

+1 for USPS email updates though...

They did offer it; I was keen to stick with my wheels as I knew they were perfect structure-wise. As much as I'm sure they wouldn't sell dodgy wheels, I had spent a while looking for a decent enough set of 107s (i.e. no cracks, welds or buckles) so didn't want to give them up. The refurb is a chistmas present from the old man anyway.

Painted my replacement parking sensor. I have to say I'm super impressed with the colour match of the paint I bought mixed to code on eBay!!

Fitted mine, took all of about 20 minutes; cutting the hole in the steering cowl took the most time.

While I was looking for the cruise control plug I noticed another unused plug in there also, it was white in colour and slightly wider than the cruise connection. Anyone know what that is for? Only thing i could think of was auto gearbox flappy paddles maybe?

I’ve got two sets of brake caliper clips so as the set fitted were starting to appear tatty i swapped them over for the freshly painted ones :P

Tried out my new DIY lollipop bush press which cost £4.

Made a big mess and didn’t quite fully remove the bush before self-destructing. A terrifying experiment.

Try a suitably sized socket instead of the hole cutter, it shouldn’t distort under pressure
Rob

It didn’t distort it just slipped off the rim and dug itself into the rubber, but that is a good tip, thanks Rob.
