What have you done to your car today?

Had the poly RTAB's and an alignment done - very happy ๐Ÿ˜Š
[ref]Simon 3.2M[/ref], I'd be really interested to know how they perform long term. I am aware of the benefits of upgrading to polys, but my personal concern would be long term durability.
Also, do polybushes need regular greasing?

having idling issues so did the following this morning:

replaced MAF
replaced ICV
replaced DISA
replaced breather pipe to dipstick
cleaned throttle housing
repaired inlet hose to supercharger
cleaned, tightened and inspected all inlet hoses

car now idling

Good job, you've got through a fair amount there.
Any idea which particular one of the above was causing the problem?

Is it garaged ?
I put mine away in the garage at the end of October- unfortunately I had to start it and move it outside to allow access for smart meter installs .

Yeah for now but it will be living outside soon as the the garage is going. We are extending the house and the garage is in the way. :)

Finally up at my dad's (London to Aberdeenshire), and he has a fully kitted out workshop... so:

1) Removed the remainder of the damage caused by a land rover changing lanes and driving into the side of me - mainly rubber deposits from their wheel and some light scratching. Still need to try and pop a few dents out but at least the paint isn't damaged.
2) Replaced side lights with some LED bulbs; massive improvement and the old bulbs had stared to burn out
3) Removed and tested my low-tone horn; turns out it's completely dead so will look at replacing.
4) Sealed my newly refurbed wheels so protect from the salt and grit on the scottish roads
5) Removed glove box so I could access the back of the fuse panel, pulled the wiper relay and cracked it open - absolutely manky inside. Switched it with the fog light relay next to it and now the wipers are starting and stopping where they are supposed to. Fogs are never used so no harm done there.
6) Removed the cabin filter whilst I was there; I reckon it's a good few years old (bought the car in the summer time); going to pick up a new one tomorrow.

Still to do; wet-sand the worst of the scratches from the collision - need to read up on this. Need to bleed my brakes as well as I think a little air got in there when I replaced my pressure sensors a few weeks ago.

I think that's it!

Productive weekend -

Changed the oil filter housing gasket
Fitted amp in boot and some 6x9's in the cubbys
Fitted some 4 inch speakers in the blank spaces in the doors
Fitted new bluetooth/SD Card/Aux adapter behind headunit (wanted to keep the original look)
While doing all that, insulated doors and insulated A pillars while running the microphone to above the mirror

Most stuff done now - what will I do with my free time?!!!

Is yours an e85/86? Did you have the wiring in place for the 4" door speakers? Otherwise, how did you manage to pass the wiring into the doors? Did you add new pins to the door connector block? How does one source new male and female pins that fit in the blocks?

DRIVEEEEE....!!! :driving:

I have an E85 - I spliced into the tweeter wires in the door, bit of solder and some heatshrink and all was good.
Door speakers make a massive difference - more so I would say than the amped 6x9's in the cubby's.

Yep - driving is a very good idea.......... might just have to do that!

New wiper blades and updated sat nav maps from 2008 to 2018.
Hopefully I now don't get directed the wrong way down a one way system :?

Uncovered to fit new Bosch s5 battery and removed my Rota wheels to get them refurbed . Fitted my mates club sport alloys that he lent me . Donโ€™t think they look too bad . Covered back up now anyhow ๐Ÿ˜D90752EA-D35E-4D31-8B59-20B4D76CD5C1.jpeg

That looks really cool on the clubsport alloys. They look like a cooler version of 108's. The double spokes look nice 8)

The wife bought me a cheap air freshener for the car. For some reason sheโ€™s now giving me the silent treatment..... :?
