What have you done to your car today?

Fixed my faulty parking sensor with an aftermarket new part which has now caused further faults with the system! DOH! :headbang: turns out bmws In general don't like cheap fake sensors!

On the plus side I repaired my gm5 module with new relays solving my locking issue and also fixed my faulty mirror switch so at least it was a productive day in the end!

Mine was not so productive. Having found the zed to be twitch on bumpy roads with a fondness to follow the white lines and ruts I took it to F1 to have a free alignment check. It turn out that the front wheels are pointing away from the kerb and the rears toward the kerb. Not a big problem as they can be adjusted that is unless the tie rods and rtab bolts are all seized because it's never been adjusted. Quoted £511 to fix it :headbang:

Quick wash to remove dust and spider poo.

Then fitted new soft cover to keep dust and spider poo off.

Was the £511 just for the alignment or is that including the above issues that they don’t know exist?
I’d try an alternative place, look for one that’s been recommended on here

To replace the two track rods and axial bars and to free off the rtab mounting bolts then do the alignment. I find them to be a reasonable bunch. I'm lucky in that my cusion runs a garage so I'll take it there and do the job myself, I can't afford to get it done at this time of the year. The parts are still not going to be cheep though.

My Z4C pissed herself

It's been a while since I was last here...

welded up a broken exhaust hangar that's been bugging me for a month or so (still on the OEM, cant decide on whether o not a cheap ebay one is worth it.)

oh and had my csl reps refurb'd and painted

Fitted new Goodyear’s to replace the lovely runflats and in case anyone who favours the runflats is looking, I will be selling the Bridgestones shortly 😀

Nice, I've often toyed with gold for the wheels on mine, in a sort of 555 Subaru tribute, but played it safe with silver on my 224s!

New rotors and pads. Pretty sure it still had the original pads on it. Hopefully the new ones create less dust. You can see how much dust the old ones made.
