What have you done to your car today?

Finally painted my calipers, not sure on the colour tho. It matches the BMW Logo but was hoping for something darker. It may improve as it dries.

Ignore the alloy that is slowly delaminating.

My first ever successful wrap... nope not the mirrors, the A pillars next to them. Ok I know it's an easy job, but not for me I'm useless at wrapping.

I quite like it too, kinda separates the top section from the chassis and accentuates the Z lines.

Looks pretty close to my colour choice

So I finally got round to fitting the bigger brakes. Grilled and grooved all round, braided hoses.
Calipers are refurbed 330i ones. Rears are still the standard 294mm.
Took way longer than it should of lol

Nothing 360 odd miles in the X3 to LEGOLAND with my grandson. Then 2 hours not moving in traffic due to accident on M4

WIP: De-Yellowing the headlights by hand... God it is boring, almost wish I hadn't started.
First off with 600 grit on the cordless, dropped down through 400, 320 to 240 by hand. Back up to 3000 via 320 ,600, 800, 1200, 2500 by hand.
Needs polishing out still, then wax until I put the ceramic coating on or that 303 stuff.

Headlights also need cleaning on the inside :(

Compound, polish and waxed! Can't honestly say I am overly impressed with the state of the light housing (inside). The yellowing has gone though.
I think I will use the cordless drill up to 2500 on the other one. Last 3000 by hand.

Thanks :)

No probs, sorry I didn't notice the PM.
You'll need to round off the corners and apply a bit of cleaning up.

Who’d have thought something so small could make such a difference! Definitely a worthwhile mod. Mine was already removed when I bought my Zed, but I had it done on my old E46 330. :)

for those of us that have no idea what that piece is having never seen it before, can you tell us what it is??

I'm guessing the CDV (Clutch Delay Valve) removed?

I haven't! I need to read up on it (again) I did research it before but I've forgotten ha. Is it something I can do on my drive easy enough or do I need to get my garage owning friend to do it on on of his lifts?

Had an oil service and MOT and general check over by my local BMW Indy - DWMOTORWORKS LIMITED GALAXY BUSINESS PARK RYTON INDUSTRIAL ESTATE NEWBURN BRIDGE ROAD NE21 4SQ - [email protected]

Previously recommended by a fellow member. BMW quote £545 Deans price £197.

OK he didn't provide the comfy seating, free tea and coffee with biscuits served by a very nice lady but he did the job, very polite and knowledgeable about everything BMW. Gave me and the wife a lift to and from the nearby Metro centre in his new (and very nice) M6. Need I say more?

PS It did pass the MOT but cost an extra £50 with the wife's shopping in addition to lunch

Dito I need it doing to.
I think it can be done yourself but it loses oil or something.
I could be wrong
