Fitted cruise control and rear drop links. Also has a 4 wheel alignment after fitting powerflex rtab on Thursday with new rear top mounts :)
Did you do the RTAB yourself?

Yes I did, and I would never do it again!!

Took 5 minutes a side to Get the old bush out and 3 hours a wide to get the back of the new bush in.

I did use powerflex black bushes though so that may have made it harder?

If it was a standard bush I’m sure it would have been a simple job

Painted the rear discs as they weren’t rust protected from brembo even though the fronts were

Threw the bike rack and mtb on the back of the zed and headed over to the Veluwe for cheeky 40k.
Bliss.

Didn't change anything but made use of the Autobahn driving from Stuttgart to Munich and back. Drank way too much fuel, driving both ways with the roof down didnt help matters. Either way, it really is fun hitting 130-140 without a care in the world.

On a side note, maybe someone can shed some light on this. On the way there, I had a new Golf GTI behind me for some way that would push me between 80-110 but once we got to 115-120 he'd start falling behind and didn't seem like he could keep up. Was the driver holding back or was my car just too much in the higher range?

Easy job I expect with standard bushes :)

Its fairly easy with standard bushes. Although if you start to add in the limiting kits with standard bushes it becomes more of a pain.

I think the same. Whilst on the autobahns a few weeks back my mates mk7 GTI Performance Pack(230bhp) 3 up very slightly had the legs on my 3.0i 2 up. Wasn't much in it, but was ever so slightly quicker.
Assuming it was a non PP car, so 217bhp, he should have had the legs on you with the extra torque.

Checked tyre pressures and fluid levels, bunged an overnight bag in the boot and about to hit the road. Will be taking the scenic route (ie not the M5/M6) for the 200 miles up to my overnight stop in Warrington, then early morning appointment tomorrow with DLV.

Looking forward to a little road trip. :driving:

Fitted Veeman VFS23 19 inch alloys and tyres, courtesy of Jamie.

Look really good on the car and i'm pretty happy with the clearance at the rear so I reckon i'll keep it as it is for now, without any spacers.
Looks even better in the flesh. Just need new bolts. Car rides well with no rubbing on a test drive.
