I got to ask why Jamie? I've not been on here long but you have had some very interesting changes to wheels etc on the threads I have read.

Well I had a 328i sport which I sold to put towards a pending wedding fund which I used that money to buy a new daily... So I now have no savings and less than 12 months to the wedding so needs must

New side repeater arrived today. £100 with a BMW badge. :o £20 with out. :? Happily when I ran into the garage a few weeks back the badge was unmarked. So after a bit of prying and re glueing the new one was fitted in about 30s. Why aren't all lights that simple to swap out. :D

Are you sure it was an 80 pound difference for a badge? Crazy

Fitted my (new to me) refurb'd 224's. These have taken over a year to reach me so am mighty pleased to have them on. Now just have to see if I can sell the old 5 series 17" wheels & tyres that have been on the Z4 since I bought it.
Pics will follow once the weather clears up a bit - pretty grey and dreary at the moment.

I'll look up how to do them - I'll keep OEM

Easy job I expect with standard bushes :)

Can seem to find a guide on here - any pointers?

Mark the 3 bolts holding the arm in place before you take them out. I lightly sprayed mine with some grey primer the day before so I could get that back in the same place. Just so the alignment wasn't well out for when I rove to the garage to have to set properly again.

I used a core drill to drill straight through the old bush, then used a reciprocating saw to but the outer bush and it then came out with a few taps.

To get the new bush in use some threaded bar, 2 prices of steel and 2 nuts.

Where are you based?

Prices were all over the place on fleebay. You could get just the badge for £40. But yes the only complete unit I spotted in my brief search was £100 and the brand new unbadged part I bought was £22.39 with free shipping from Lithuania. :D

Thought I would give the Zed a clean this evening. Been a while since I did it properly. Got the boot and the cabin done by dark. Engine bay tommorrow. :)

Fished the 103's out of the garage to see how a17" square set up would feel, now I've only gone and lost the locking wheel nut!
Plus the run flats are horrid, crashy things that will come off for winter tyres come the time.

Sold the Mini Cooper S cab. A3 went last month, considering the roadster next. Then I'll look for something different
Watch this space!!!
