Vinyl wrapping interior trim is typically pretty easy, as the edges are largely hidden. That said, I trimmed it fairly neatly, and the front edge is on show when the lid flips up. Vinyl is cheap and you can always rip it off if you don't like it, and gentle heat from a heat gun can help with tricky radii. A plastic tool to push the vinyl gently into tight corners can help too.
