What have you done to your car today?

Replaced the two front brake bleed nipples as one was seized in and rounded off, then changed the brake fluid, quick wash after.

Left the hood wet in the hope it deters the local cat or cats from laying on it

[ref]oldgitdave[/ref] it is an outstanding match. I saw the thread in the How To - > Interior forum and bought a sheet off eBay for about £7.50 inc. P&P. Vinyl wrapping interior trim is typically pretty easy, as the edges are largely hidden. That said, I trimmed it fairly neatly, and the front edge is on show when the lid flips up. Vinyl is cheap and you can always rip it off if you don't like it, and gentle heat from a heat gun can help with tricky radii. A plastic tool to push the vinyl gently into tight corners can help too.

wonkeydonkey thanks for the pointer to the How To thread & the tips  . Might be getting myself some of that! I talked with Russ59 a few posts back. He was using a gloss black wrap which looked pretty good but as this matches so well I'll only need to do the rough bits on mine :)

Hmm.. just looked on ebay & doesnt seem to be available in the UK at the mo :(

[ref]oldgitdave[/ref] one of the beauties of vinyl is how reversible it is. If you fancy a change you just rip it off and apply something else!

This is what I bought. It was in my hands three days after purchase - nice quick service from France. It may work out cheaper to buy a bigger sheet if you're doing a few items.

wonkeydonkey thanks for the link. Seems this guy's the only one selling that particular colour. Can't find anyone in the UK doing it!

That's why I ended up buying from France [ref]oldgitdave[/ref] Can't fault the speed with which they had it in my hands. I say go for it!

Took car back to my mechanic tonight to have the diff oil changed and a new drive axle seal fitted. Had the gearbox oil and oil and filter change earlier in the month. Counting the hours to my French trip on Sunday. :driving:

They do to be fair but not sure if I'm that keen.

Have you got a photo from the other side? If these are the stick on covers, then I'm sure they don't quite so good from the side you see in the car.

Inspection 1 @ Darren Woods and then home for a good wash

Lunched my front-left wheel into a raised curb, taking a chunk out of the alloy :headbang:

That's what you get for a very late night followed by a very early start for work

Well! Seems the car likes to keep me busy. 5D20 fault code which is pointing to one of the brake pressure sensors on the master cylinder. Will check all the contacts etc before swapping in a new one.

Well not the best ever roadtrip. I spent 11 hours sitting on firstly the M5 and later the M6. Won't be going any where near on the way home tommorrow. Thank god for Wales :driving:

Just got rid of the run flats on my Z4 - On to normal tyres, and what a difference! It's like driving a different car!

The tramlining has all but gone, and I actually feel like the car has some suspension now!

Next job on the list is to ditch the clutch delay valve....

Regards
Eddy

love the wheels.
one of the few I would consider if I get bored with mine.
love that colour finish.

They were black when I got them. Pretty sure the colour was shadow chrome. Was going for the E39 M5 wheel colour, I'm also very happy with them.
