What have you done to your car today?

Looking pretty again! Also sorted out the rattle I had, so all is well for the time being!

Lovely looking roadster

Have you checked out your wipers? They sit abnormally high up the windscreen. I think it's something to do with the motor.

Cheers for pointing this out, pulled the motor today and it was grease covered. Parking much better now, blades fully on the black part of the screen

Nice one. Nice easy fix  I think it's quite a common issue amongst Z4 owners.

Check out the threads about sticky steering, it may give you some clues about what the feeling is like. There seems to be a few who have the Knock from the front end, have you tried tightening the tie bars in the engine bay.

I will have a look, cheers

Re. The Knock sound, I tightened those bars yesterday as that's what I thought it was. I also made sure the strut nuts were tight.

It feels like it's coming from the central part of the car, rather than any particular side. Could it be engine mounts? The car is 15 years old and has 125,000 miles on it, so these could possibly be due for replacement, at a guess?

When I had my alignment done yesterday, they never mentioned anything, so I can't imagine it being suspension/hub related.

Indeed, and good to clear out the forest I found underneath the scuttle too! All empty and drain lines clear again, so that's a perk. Wiper ball joints looking okay too, applied some new grease to them anyway along with the wiper arms so all should be good now.

Fitted gapTech RCH+, really pleased with it. Also moved Parrot display to the ashtray, just need to find a good place to hide the Parrot control now.

Finally got rid of the 3 lights on me dash ready for MOT with help from IamOrion, traction control, handbrake and ABS, replacing both the ABS pressure sensors did the job (£34) one step closer to getting her back on road!

You got a pic of that? Interesting idea.
Cheers

I replaced those last month, when I changed the shocks. I fitted new Lemforder top mounts, so I'd be very surprised if one has failed already.

I have 2 random noises on the go, which makes it even more annoying  The one when pulling away (loud knock from centre of the car) and one when driving normally (drivers side front).

Will have to get it down to my indy to have a look soon as it just makes me feel uneasy when driving it. I just took it for a drive down B roads and it corners fine (really well, infact). It's just the strange noises that make me feel a bit uneasy :headbang:

Fitted a new underseat first aid bin to driver's seat and replaced garish aftermarket silver gear knob with a ZHP style knob.

Awful sticker will be removed this week

Finally fitted my new wheels!!

Is it a parrot mki9100?
I've got my parrot mki9100 screen permanently mounted in the same place. I mounted the controller to the back of power socket/lighter blank plug. I store it in the glove box when not in use and then slot it in to the lighter socket when I'm in the car. It looks neat and the best bit is with the controller stowed in the glovebox and the ashtray flap hiding the screen, nothing is on display

Had the roof off a lot lately thanks to the sunshine but seem to have developed the dreaded knocking parcel shelf as a result. Not quite sure why this would happen, need to investigate :|
