What have you done to your car today?

Fitted clear rear lights earlier this week was going to tint to make quads but not sure now think I like it

They look good as they are IMO. I wouldn't bother with the tint!

Braver man than me, I wouldn't take mine for a swimming lesson...

Fitted my catch can.
Drilled holes for air to pass through the Bumper for the oil cooler.
Deleted the DISA valve.
Fitted the air filter.
Test fitted front and back bumpers all looks well. Made a mesh grill for the center front bumper section.
Fitted drivers door card.
Ran all the cables for my wide band AFR gauge.

thanks I think so too,I must admit I was panicking a bit but made sure I kept in DLV mikes wake lol ,something I remembered from some off roading I did in past :D

Quick drive out this morning then it was time to get it ready for winter. Good clean, polish then a couple of coats of dodo juice orange crush wax. Hopefully it will stop to much dirt getting stuck to it in the coming months.

20171011_145757.jpgAs many will know I've been busy bringing the coupe back up to showroom condition, so it had a full respray at Sandy Wallace of knockentiber then left for a month for the respray to fully cure then booked in for a full machine polish and ceramic coating at KW Detailing along with the wheels stripped and powder coated in anthracite grey at Stiggy motorsport in kilmarnock, can't recommend these companys enough, there attention to detail is unreal. The paint looks flawless and the wheels are better than new !

Wow that looks amazing. It looks like it's fresh out of the factory. Great looking car.

Decided to tackle the Valve Cover Gasket this afternoon as it was leaking the usual M54 places. I used BMW parts including a new set of rubber washers and 2 new oval lock nuts for the left hand side strut brace.
All went to plan, was quite enjoyable work for a Sunday afternoon. Went for a spin afterwards to check everything and no oil was visible when I got home which is a result.

The old gasket was very brittle, especially around the spark plugs. Other than that, the rest of the valve gear looked in good shape.

Nice - can't beat an M Sport wheel :driving:

Cheers, I hope it's a plug and play Collin.

should be on yours Fred, I'll be swapping my M wheel for a MF one in the next few days and hoping the wiring is there for it.

Nice looking mate Mike, is it a 3.0 ?

No m8, a 2.0 Sport. 80k, 1 prev owner with full BM serv hist. Got it for a song as has a busted roof, dead ABS motor and a ding on the side. First two I'll be sorting myself, dent man for the other and then up for sale..

Result - you're the perfect buyer for that!

Hopefully you'll make a few quid to invest in your 3 litre!

Thanks its been a long time to get it this good but totally worth it

Bilstein b4 and suplex springs on all four corners, after 120,000 miles it was desperately needed.
Old shocks couldn't hold themselves up!
Alignment done too and now drives like a dream :driving:

Had a coil pack up today, trip to ECP for a new one, £17. Five minutes to fit.

Will buy a spare now and leave in the car, just in case!
