What have you done to your car today?

So last year I purchased an universal OBD2/cable to make some changes to the software settings on the Z. Would have done the Carly software, but I didn't want to pay a subscription cost every year if I wanted make additional changes. Then I tried a couple of my old Windows laptops to see if any of them would work well enough to install the required software. Nope! Too old! Then I tried installing Oracle's VirtualBox for Mac, then I added 1 TB memory stick to my MacBook Air. Not enough computer power with my little i7 Mac. So finally getting back to it, just purchased a low end Windows laptop to do this project... Next I will be looking at the forum for threads on the topic again... For sure I want to turn DRL's on... :wink:

Think I will be following your lead on this too.

Disconnected the battery on mine as part of the the upgrades . It’s now forgotten my Carly programming and my subscription is out too.

Read up on Alpina spoiler replacements when I ordered them as they have a website showing the process and what’s available.Expected them to be fibreglass but when they arrived they are plastic ( the same as the bumper) you could literally just paint them straight away. The fit was straight on too,no fettling required . Suppose you get what you pay for , took an age to arrive though. Ordered in July.

Washed mine, very dirty as hasn't been washed for about 3 weeks :oops: Then went out for a nice roof down drive on the moors with the wife to eat lunch in the car. Lovely sunny day if a bit windy and chilly. Heaters on of course :thumbsup:
 
Stared at four of them out of my window.
Too wet, windy and downright freezin' to do anything to a single one of them! :headbang:
 
Ordered all the interior bits that are missing. A new gearknob, clips for the B pillar panel, a screw cover for the centre console, and the locking twisty thing for the battery cover in the boot.

Waiting for the report back from Reddish before I do anything else.
 
ed80 how did you have a gear knob ‘missing’??!!

Booked our E89 in for an oil change. Got email from Bartlett Automotive (Huntingdon) offering 25% discount between Christmas and new year. Worth breaking winter cover for a deal! Getting brake fluid changed too. Spoiling her!!

If anyone in the area is interested the offer runs until all slots are booked up.
 
Fitted new Bosch wiper blades to both cars and swapped the wheels on the daily from summers to winters.

Twice a year I get reminded how much I wish BMWs had studs with nuts rather than bolts. :evil:

I put a stud kit on my 325ti, made it much easier to swap wheels, but mostly because racecar :D

Today I fitted the ZHP gearknob, and failed to get my new phone mount to adhere to the dash. Will try tomorrow after running the heater for a while.
 
Today I thought about resolving an issue but couldn;t be arsed.

On Sunday I was cleaning the boot, and I went to lift the floor up to hoover dust and dirt from around the battery. The floor of the boot would not move. Somehow it had worked its way under the 10mm bit of plastic that it should sit on and would not budge. Now I need to glue up the floor and clamp it where I caused damage forcing it out, and I need to create some sort of packer about 10mm x 10mm x 600mm to sit there and prevent the floor from dropping and getting trapped again.
 
Cars on a SORN this month so I thought I'd take the opportunity to give all the rubber seals a good seeing to with the Swissvax.

Installed a "new to me" passenger (LHD) door card. The old one had some water damage on the armrest when I bought the car and it always drove me crazy looking at it.
