Printed https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4641584 to fix it but haven't fitted it yet. (First PLA print on a smooth PEI sheet with Bambu P1S, no brim and perfect adhesion to the bed. Easier than the textured PEI sheet I've been using till now.)caius said:Maybe I'll pull the second foam, maybe I'll just enjoy being able to drive at 70mph with the roof up
caius said:Also intended on removing the sound generator foam at the bulkhead, only to find it was already out. Slightly disappointed to find that, it still sounds muted compared to the 2.5i with a Gravity exhaust on. Maybe I'll pull the second foam, maybe I'll just enjoy being able to drive at 70mph with the roof up
Zedebee said:Remember with the Gravity you are playing with the exhaust noise, but with the foam you are playing with induction

Cheers j3nks79 but it's fu#k#d anyway, I found some wetsuit patches and decided to have a laugh. I'll probably put a new one on over the winter but in the meantime I'll still have a crack at the other side and keep driving. If you close one eye and squint with the other it looks sort of new(ish) already.j3nks79 said:You can pick up a good condition 2nd hand roof for around £250

New one arrived Sunday from Amazon, so next day, fitted it on Monday. Easy job but not quite curved enough but okay. Keeping the old one as a back up as the glue stuck well.MikeyH said:My 3rd brake light finally fell out today, ordered one from Amazon, should be here tomorrow. Took the old one out and repaired it with glue and tape. Put it back in again, works fine for now. Been a really nice sunny day here and I wasn't going to miss a drive out in the Zed. Easier to remove than I thought but almost lost one of the springs inside the boot lid.![]()
Yes mine is starting to have a little hole now, thinking of taking it to a hood repair place to see what can be done.Nick W said:Major repair yesterday, about a grand cheaper than a new roof. Might pop one on the other side for a bit of symmetry.![]()

I installed a new BMW one a couple of years ago and it was the same, not curved enough. That's why they crack!MikeyH said:Easy job but not quite curved enough but okay.
What a rubbish design, so much for “German engineering”!BumpyZ4 said:I installed a new BMW one a couple of years ago and it was the same, not curved enough. That's why they crack!MikeyH said:Easy job but not quite curved enough but okay.
