What have you done to your car today?

I think it was the chrome stuff on the car that didn't look right no longer having silver wheels.
So removed badges. Looks better.

Got black grilles in the post to get rid of the chrome on the front too to finish it off.

MOT passed with no advisories this morning, seventh in a row. Yearly mileage has gone up to a whopping 256!
a truly cosseted car 🥰
Indeed, too much probably. It lives in the garage with the occasional trip to Caffeine & machine at the bowl.
does it?! That’s where ours last enjoyed a turn of her wheels (it too lives under a blanket in the garage far too often)

Replace both front discs but unfortunately scratched the bonnet on the roof of the garage. The madness of getting quotes to fix the damage has begun!

Fitted my retrimmed wheel from RSW with new OE wheel trims which were bloody expensive for what they are.

It’s made a massive improvement to the interior.

Where did you get them from? Just from the stealers?

BMW direct on eBay to take advantage of a discount code.

One of mine was cracked. I tried to fix it but it just split open as soon as I went back on the wheel.

Your photography skills are much better than mine!

Hopefully sorted my roof issue out. I was constantly getting a roof bong when driving. Roof all worked well. The codes were pointing to the two hall sensors of the right hand ram. Replaced those. Still happened.

Next I have just replaced the two microswitches in the boot. I had to unpin the originals and resin the new parts as the connection has changed.

The screws are lock tight in so I had to cut a groove to use a large flat head. Time will tell now 🤞

The originals were well past overdue. One the readings were all over the place when cycled. The other very stable and the same as the new parts. New parts went down to 470 solid. The suspect unit would fluctuate between 1337 and 680. Here’s hoping 😁

Also replaced my salmon relays for good measure👍

Made the 550 mile round trip to see AnubisZed to have my cruise control coded. Big thanks again, Dave

Finally got round to changing the anti roll bars, however noticed something seems to have snapped. I've checked realoem but can't seem to see anything resembling this, anyone have any ideas?

headlight level sensor

Thank you! Mystery solved.

Although the headlights are aftermarket 2xcite lights that take h7 bulbs, so guessing I don't need this sensor anyway? Assuming they were xenon lights previously..?

First MOT in my ownership... and we have a pass.

Two advisories - rear tyres close to being illegal (as I well knew).
Front brakes fluctuating a bit... maybe new discs in the next few thousand miles.

I'll take that.

Gave the leather seats a proper clean today. The amount of dirt on them was surprising, probably never done before. Now the interior has a nice matte finish

Very satisfying. Did my CLS seats last week and got a bucket of murky water for the privilege… and I thought they were clean! Only did them last year!!

FunkyGBrown the picture looks like (from the flooring) that you’ve got your car in your front room! (Is that not a shag-pile carpet??) 😉 fair play!
