Congrats and thanks for the link MrPT; how does it’s base fit on the dash, magnetic too? (Don’t want to drill any holes or use glue).

It’s a 3M sticky pad. The plate attaches to the base using a clip which also doubles as an air vent mount if you don’t want to mount it on the dash.

Thank you

I've started so I'll finish....

Ooooh, nice. Did the hoops come off easily without breaking the tabs?

A couple broke but most are still intact. The weather is my biggest obstacle at the minute, can't make it's mind up.

Got the next layer down. Candy Black to follow as the top layer. I enquired about having them done in carbon fiber but it would have cost me £300, so I'm hoping this works as a good alternative.

Looking to take mine apart to have them body coloured when I have the bonnet bumper and wings painted. I’m nervous though to try and split them.

I can't believe I've been driving for months with a broken spring!

How do you know it's been months?

I'd had a rattle for a long while but never thought about irlt really as it was only noticeable over cobbles. Recently it got louder so I checked out the spring to see it had snapped. The broken ends were sorry and rusty so it had been a good while!

Removed a small lake from the old roof motor compartment!

Amazing how easily the drains seem to get clogged, fortunately the motor is living in the boot so no issues with access, poked around with an old coat hanger and it all came crashing out the drain.

Fitted new gaiters again... the gear gaiter doesn't fit very well though so I've emailed them for a shorter one.

Love those! Where did you buy them from?

Handbrake gaiter looks a rubbish fit mind :o

I got them from JF Customs on ebay. The problem is that the material is really thick so it doesn't fold or sit down very well.

The handbrake could do with the bit that's folded back in on itself trimming. It's not the easiest thing to fit as you just get the leather piece so have to strip the original handbrake and stretch the new gaiter every which way to refit to the trim.

I'm thinking about asking them to make the door cards out of the same.

Went for a quick blast out to test rubbing on arches after fitting some Csl’s. It’s taken some fiddling to get them right but no rubbing! :D Off to Demon Tweeks for 4 wheel alignment tomorrow

Picked the car up earlier after getting all 4 alloys refurbished over the past two days.

Then took it to get the wheels balanced properly at Autotec in Port Glasgow as they have the Hunter Road Force gear.

Previously had all the brakes replaced... Discs, pads, sensors and braided hoses fitted too. Might put it in for an alignment check and adjustment next week but will see how it feels over the next week.
