What first introduced you to Car Forums?

There is a forum for Honda Accord drivers - found it when I was trying to source a new satnav disc and identify an issue with the wife's car. It scared me. I didn't even join, and resolved never to become 'those guys'...

The first car that cost me any real money Dan was a '94 300 series Land Rover Discovery :(

Boy did I need the Forum for that car

Same here, then moved on to a Ford Galaxy that for so many reasons kept me so ist full time solving problems.

My 1st and only car forum  I joined shortly after buying my Z4.

I bought my Z after selling my bike and had previously been on a few bike forums.

First and only forum

Got suggested to me that the best cars to buy are on the forums so this is where I started looking and my eyes were opened to a wealth of knowledge and help

First car I bought after years of co cars was an impreza joined scoobynet in 2001 ish. Hung around there for 8 ish years and 3 scoobies.

Pretty much sign up to the appropriate car forum for all cars.

:)

I had toyed about for years but got seriously into car forums in 2097 when I ordered my Civic Type R. That forum cost me a fortune in mods!

How old are you now :D

Lol! That's what I get for typing on an iPhone. In the year 2097 I'll be 112 if still around and a Honda is the perfect granny car ha ha!

I should really go and edit to 2007

When I bought a Vauxhall vx220 needed to replace something and found a forum but wasn't anywhere near as good as this one it's brilliant met some great people and good times

Jeeps. Needed to find off road locations and meets and joined a forum.

As the ones did not cater for the type of event we wanted we set up our own... J33P.

I was chair and it grew to be a fantastic club running events, trade links, technical, etc.

Now I just use them for all cars I have and enjoy the social as much as technical info.

This is the only on-line forum, car or non-car,I have ever joined - honestly!

Stumbled across the Forum after I bought the ///M last April. Have found the Forum to be an immense source of knowledge, good humour and cameraderie. Have met a few of the members and am hoping to meet more this year.

Decided it was time to buy a sports car, bought one, realised I didn't know much about them nor knew anyone that did and arrived here

2008 looking for my scirocco .. I was a relative late comer to car love. But had been using forums back into 2001 for other purposes.

I went to a Honda forum and went to the civic sub forum... I'm loving all these issue topics lmao  :poke:

I'm actually a member of the PH forum, zpost.net, the 5 Series forum that RichardP is on (intravee) and probably one or two others I've forgotten. But this is the only one I've spent any time on. As you can probably tell. The rest are good for info, except PH which I just get lost in...

Off topic, but I just joined the Sky TV forum because my On Demand is not working... Refreshing to see current and ex-employees making such a great contribution. Though my problem's still fixed, sadly....

I always find that specific model range car forums are always busy and have good folk on them, the generalised one re the entire brand doesn't seem to be as active and ones like type r owners were just hellish, always full of people who wanted to put others down, the whole my cars better than your car or your cars not really one because we don't like it etc. at least having a subsection dedicated to ///M's within this forum seems to attract the nice folks
