What first introduced you to Car Forums?

Interested to hear how you came across car forums.

Mine was in 2004 trying to research what issue the EML on my TT might have been.
 
When I ordered my first Z4 in 2003 I was looking for info and joined the original Z4um.com
 
The first car that cost me any real money Dan was a '94 300 series Land Rover Discovery :(

Boy did I need the Forum for that car :cry:

I had the same car, also 1994, and was the worst car I ever bought and "cured" me from ever buying any British car again.
 
My first owned car, which was my first Z4 - I joined this forum shortly after buying it.

Are there other car forums :?
 
When I was 18 and I purchased my second car, a mk6 escort. I joined escortevolution (I think that's what it was called).

I had toyed about for years but got seriously into car forums in 2007 when I ordered my Civic Type R. That forum cost me a fortune in mods!

*edit as I was being a 112 year old time traveller.

This was my first. I just planed on finding out some information. Didn't plan on contributing that much, or making bits and bobs, or any mods!!!
 
Been on a few bike forums and to start with was to find out info, probably how most people start. First one was about 10 years ago which I still look in on.
This is the first car forum I have been on and again it was to get an understanding of the car and gain some info about it.
This is a good forum with plenty of info and real knowledgeable members, even if some are a little up themselves. :lol:
 
Around 2002-3 from memory with diesel car forum and E46 fanatics when I had a 2002 320d. Bought my last Z4 in May 2007 and joined here after initially joining zroadster.net

Only other forum I visit regularly is DW
 
Iv been on a couple non car related forums for awhile but, surprisingly enough this was my first and only car forum that I'm still apart of. I guess it was the connection with everybody because we all have basically the same thing in common. I joined a couple years back when I got my first car (zed4). I wanted to try and maintain my car on my own so I looked up a forum for a z4 because there's a forum for everything. I'm sure if I look hard enough I could find a lawn mower forum (not a Honda forum) :P

I sold my zed 4 awhile back for a 350z and I'm still here. Hell! There is finally more americans than Europeans on the my350z forum but I still like you guys more! :oops: :thumbsup:
