On a lighter note.
Wee Jimmy Krankie goes on and on about wanting yet another referendum to leave the UK (sounds like the brexit remoaners wanting more votes till they get the result they want, int democracy brilliant? )
Just wondering cause the Scotch :poke: :poke: people I speak to say hell no, I think that's what they say, bit difficult to understand some of them :poke: :D
I think I got enough insults in there, well the clean ones anyway.

Scotland would have left the UK by now if the voting for the referendum had not been arranged as it was. Alex Salmond agreed to the vote going to the People of Scotland instead of the Scottish people. This meant that anyone living in Scotland at the time, no mater what country they were from, could vote. The vote was lost in the main University and banking cities because they employed a lot of those people. If you were working in Edinburgh and were English you would vote No because you might lose your job if the vote went against you. This was replicated many times. This was an obvious (to me anyway) error on the part of Salmond and without doubt was arranged that way by the UK Government. What will happen next time? Let's wait and see, because there will be a next time.

OP you don't speak to Scotch people - the only things that are Scotch are whisky and beef. :P

Everything else is Scottish, based on the education I got from my Dad who was born in Invernesshire - and he would never have supported Scottish Independence. Which is why I'm also not a fan, but why do just 4 million or so Scots get to decide instead of around 40 million people living in England?

Minorities rule, yet again. :headbang:

And eggs :poke: im surprised with the news surrounding those at the moment you could forget them :D

I think any new vote should include the whole of the uk not just Scotland and I’m pretty sure you would get independence because the majority of the UK wants to see the back of Scotland, because we fund you and financially and your only useful export is Whisky and oil which is becoming less and less as we move away from dirty fuels. I say get that wall built Borris sharpish!

Would Blackpool become part of Scotland too? It's full of those Scotch people

Put that stick away, it's going nicely as it is at the moment. If it dries up then give it another poke. :D

I know, just a bit bored.
I do wonder where Scotland would get the funds to continue free prescriptions, hospital parking, University education, road maintenance (some of the best maintained and picturesque roads in the UK) etc.?

Do your research, particularly taxes raised, where it goes and where some of it ends up.

Oh, don't be serious, I was quite enjoying it. You see, Scotland has one thing that England doesn't, a Parliament. I don’t think that England has had a parliament since the Roundheads beat the Curly Wigs, but that was years ago. England has a football team, rugby team, Commonwealth Games team, even a cricket team, but no, it doesn’t have a Parliament.

By the sounds of a few comments on here the normal man on the street in england wants Scotland to gain Independence.

Odd, I have misread it. I thought it was all 'tongue-in-cheek'. Got that wrong.

p.s. that is not a comment about homosexuality. I shouldn't have typed that, bugger, No! No I don't mean that.

It is tongue in cheek, a diversion from all the serious heavy stuff
I'll get my coat
