Director of Consulting services in a US software company that delivers process & decisioning solutions ... Takes me all over the world, just finishing off in Turkey after a couple of years in Tokyo. Next stop who knows

Self employed plumber for 15 years
Hated it the first day and hate it even more now. I am at ease with it now though, it serves a purpose.
Quite often thankful I don't do other peoples jobs. I was in a food factory last week. Had to do a job for a manufacturer but theyd have to pay me a lot to get me back - health and safety *shudders*. What an awful place to work for an hour
All these immigrants are the ones doing the s**t jobs. I was driving through Lincs, chucking it down with rain and there they all are in a muddy field picking daffodils. Care workers another one

I work for a water company in the somerset area. I run 9 waste water treatment sites in the area, huge environmental responsibility. if you think it sounds s**t.......don't bother taking the piss

I'm Key Account Manager for an Industrial Coatings Manufacturer, Wood/MDF/Plastics/Metal/Glass and Leather, we also import Italian PE/PU and UV coatings as well as Dutch industrial Metal Coatings, essentially I'm the first cup of coffee and set up the paint systems, depending on the size of the account I run it or pass it on to one of the area Reps

We made all sorts of stuff. Usually last minute and in a rush for a race or pre season. I am guessing its busy for you right now!

I'm a Information/Cyber Security Consultant. I mainly do contracting jobs these days. A few mates and I started a company about 3 years back, we got taken over, we all made Director (whatever that meant), new company was rubbish, I lived off a roundabout in an industrial estate for about 18 months (in a hotel I might add) and then opted for more boring consultancy, but a much better work/life balance.
In my previous lives I was a 3D vehicle artist for PS2 and XBox games (3DSMax) and an international locksmith for HMG (really).

I used to be a Waterskiing instructor I had a massive wipeout one day on the monoski and basically ruined my knee and ankle
was never able to ski as hard again, it was great to be able to teach people to ski but not being able to ski as good as I used to
made me give it up. I have been in the building industry since and hate it but it pays the bills

I'm a Mechanical project Engineer for a top 10 Construction company in London.
Civil Engineer turned project planner. Currently self-employed working on a freelance basis in the water industry. Before that most of my experience was in highways & bridges.
Interesting thread, seems to be a lot of us in a technical/engineering/building profession.....and not many hairdressers
