What did you pay?

I'm not sure I should put up what I gave for my ///M it's an 06 no nav but heated seats, 10 speaker sound system, rear parking sensors, 6 disc cd + 1 in the dash it had 49k and it's pretty much spot on, when I got it in dec 13 I gave £11,800 cash and since then the guy I bought it off has offered me much more money back to get it back, my gain his loss

That's a great deal for you. Like others have said, maybe they are starting to appreciate slightly. Especially the low mileage examples.

Just look at what the Z3 M Roadsters are going (advertised) for. £12 - £13k for 100k miles

That's a great deal...but still probably more than he would have got in a direct dealer sale.

When this thread has run its course I'll have one of designers compile the data into some form of graphical timeline.

What's the view with options....today, do they really add any value at all...? I think it's mileage and condition that are the only things that effect selling price.

Sapphire Black 06 coupe, admittedly higher mileage compared to others at 80k (previous owner used daily commuting all over the country!), red leather, nav, cup holders, PDC, Bluetooth, intravee and AC Schnitzer backboxes fitted. I'm 3rd owner from New and paid £11,600 in Feb '14

2006 (06) Black ///M Roadster with Champagne leather.
All the goodies inc Nav, cruise, etc etc.

35,000 miles. (now on 38,000)

Condition Not as mint as the pictures made it look. I'd say 7/10. Dinks in both doors, chip on front spoiler, cracked paint on rear bumper. Most panels paint is swirled after being washed with what looks like a brillo pad. (Paint correction, wheel refurb & dent removal all coming in the next few weeks so it's ready for summer and we can actually use it a bit more this year).

Purchased for a smidge under £14,500.00 in April 2014.

I'm selling mine later this year, so won't be saying here what I paid for it. Safe to say, I paid above average money for mine, as mine is in fantastic condition and has some pretty desirable features such as Aeros and CSLs.

Interesting thread though.

Shouldn't have any issue selling mate

Doesn't really matter what you paid for it....it's what someone else will pay you for it!

If I were to sell mine today I'd probably take £16k...so would have effectively made a grand for driving it about for a few months! Now there aren't many BMW's that can offer you that!

I'd take £16k for mine :D

Adamski - nooooooooooo  Don't sell it before we get on a run together, else I'll be devastated :|

Yeah hopefully I'll make a forum run before sale time

There's a small chance I may keep her, but the only way I'll be doing that is if my bonus cheque this year is enough to buy a decent 2nd motor... haha

2007 M roadster, bought from BMW AUC @22k miles in August 2010
Silver grey
Pro Nav
Hifi pro + changer
Bluetooth
Heated seats
PDC
Carbon leather dash

Years tax, warrantee, wheel refurb, new front discs and pads + service before collection - 22k less decent trade in for 3.0 Z4.

22k and new discs and pads ??? Someone has been pushing that one …. When I sold mine at 24k there was loads of life left, I would say certainly another 15k if not more.

Well it's done another 11k and the discs are still barely lipped, pads have loads of life left in them. Noticed some pad marks on the rears the other day though, must remember to chill out on the traffic light drag races, or at least slow down in time to crawl to the next set :D

Mine has covered 32k miles and discs are also barely lipped.

Would this be down to DSC, Bing? Or simply hot pads sitting on hot discs for a <\>10 second period at lights?
