What did you newbies do to your car today?

Heads up for any other newbs wanting to do the ZHP shift knob upgrade to your E89.... the E89 shift knob and boot are one piece. THe simple knob you see all over the net will not fit. Use BMW part # 25112284094 which includes the boot and costs like a month's car payment

I changed out the side marker lights today. It was a suggestion I read here somewhere. A quick search on FleaBay found the markers. The lights were listed as clear but, to be perfectly clear, the lenses are clear and the LEDs are deep amber.
It took longer to figure how to release the old fixture than to clean around and install the new lights.

Took the front wheel spacers off. I got a slight vibration around 85 mph since I put them on... So I thought to remove the fronts and see if the vibration goes away?
And I drove it about 3 hours over the mountains and back. I took the freeway home which is where I felt the vibration again.

As suspected removing the front 10mm spacers removed the vibration. Ran down the freeway 90-95 mph and no vibration at any speed.
I'll be contacting the eBay seller for a refund and I'll probably just leave these off as I like the look of a wider rear end stance now. Just like the Mrs

Will do - I have to work up the nerve to tear my dash apartI've got an inquiry into to bimmertech.com about adding the backup camera option to this install. The install looks a bit epic so I thought I would not want to take it half apart again to add the camera I so miss... We've become dependent. But in our defense they are invaluable tools. Okay and for fun - I got the Z car a driver's hat.

Funny that I thought I would miss not having a back up camera when I first got my Zed since my other cars have it, but now after having the car 6 months I can't really say I do, the parking sensors with the pictogram in the iDrive are pretty good enough.
