What colour to wrap my z4m roadster ?

Interesting point actually, I wonder if anyone who has had a wrap has advised their insurer and what the response has been because as mentioned, bodywork becomes a problem potentially because the panel still has to be finished to an original standard AND then re-wrapped?

But its an interesting question that raises others. I mean do you keep the wrap on resale, giving the new owner a choice of keeping whatever colour you chose, or reverting to the original, or would you remove it all before resale? That might help dictate whether you go for an extreme, outrageous colour choice (which I'd suggest is what wraps are really for) or a more mundane one that might not offend potential buyers downstream.....

Personally I'd go outrageous, and on resale, test the water first with a view to removing the wrap if it didn't sell as is.

For me personally; most wraps look like crap when you see them close... Saw a silver R8 today with a matt black wrap of 2 years old and the details looked really bad (parking sensors, mirrors, corners). A matt black Wrap is the only thing I would ever consider. But only if the original car colour was black. Also in some circumstances the real colour gets really damaged when you remove the wrapp after a couple of years.

On top of all the comments already raised against wraps, i'll also add that gloss vinyl swirls very badly in a short space of time, and it's not something you can whip out the rotary to correct.

Matt/Satin are the only long-term wraps you should be considering, and even then, I think they've had their day...

The close up pictures of that White / Sepang coupe also show that it is not a finish I would be happy with.
