You seem like a resourceful kind of bloke to me, so I'm sure you will come up with a plan.
Regarding the cars; what about offering to 'rent' some of them out (like an amateur contract hire), with conditions, like mileage, etc.?
My Mrs would happily 'rent' your G29 for 6 months.
Just watch the black dog mate. This is no time for that ba*tard to be chasing your heels. :|john-e89 said:Don't know what's for the best just now Pondy....sell, keep, doubt I could rent the M40i with my OCD, but nothing is off the list right now. Tbh I'm reeling a bit from having a dinner party with the in-laws one moment to having my licence taken off me the next and everything that involves. It really has shoved a 747 sized spanner in it.
mr.tourette said:bugger..sorry to hear this pal, I hope you find a way to keep mobile, I think the ebike may be your best bet..is there any kind of train service you can combine with an ebike so you can just pedal to and from stations?

That’s a bollocks
Had someone I worked with and they were the same, year counter reset if they had another one, they did about 4 months in but got their lic back 12 months later. That was 9 years ago and no issues since.
Now we’re looking at worst case scenario with no driving. Is there a school route close to your new workshops? Most schools in remote areas have a transport contract with local transport companies. What most people don’t realise is that these are also normally classed as subsidised routes and normal punters can pay to use the same service.
The big advantage ids that they often cover routes “normal” public transport routes don’t.
The drawbacks are, restricted to school opening he’s +/- 1 hr and they don’t run in school holidays.
Just a thought and throwing something else into the mix,
Chin up bud![]()

Have you got space to lay up all the cars on Cteks or anything like that?
Or anyone close who can at least take you out for a spin in them to keep them healthy.
Hope you get it all sorted John.

How far is your commute?
Any work colleagues who can help with lifts?
Any parts of your job you can do from home?
Back with the e-bike idea. Assume you have found this page by now, but here just in case you have not.
https://www.gov.uk/electric-bike-rules
As some one said earlier, limited to 15.5mph and all that I have found so far require you to pedal. Nothing I can see in the rules about that though, so there may be e-biles out there that you don't need to pedal. Or indeed e-trikes.
Another possibility here..
https://www.gov.uk/mobility-scooters-and-powered-wheelchairs-rules/driving-on-the-road#:~:text=You%20can%20only%20drive%20on,speed%20limit%20of%20over%2050mph.
Limited to 8 mph, you don't have to pedal though.![]()
