No one local that is retired and active that would transport you for some beer money?

Funny you should ask that Scubes....just got in touch with an old mate that does 3 days on, 3 off, he's happy to ferry me around and only 7 miles away when he can, so that's something..!

Don't know what's for the best just now Pondy....sell, keep, doubt I could rent the M40i with my OCD, but nothing is off the list right now. Tbh I'm reeling a bit from having a dinner party with the in-laws one moment to having my licence taken off me the next and everything that involves. It really has shoved a 747 sized spanner in it.
Just watch the black dog mate. This is no time for that ba*tard to be chasing your heels. :|

Let it sink in, take a while and have a think. There will be a compromised solution, just got to work out what.

Doc is on it Pondy....first thing she mentioned, she's awesome.

Blimey John, that’s a setback and a bloody shame, I’m sorry for you but as someone has said you’ll find a way. I

That's a complete PITA John, you have my deepest sympathies...

As you live in the countryside, is there anyway you could stay off the roads and go cross-country on something like a quad bike? The low centre of gravity keeps them stable and as they have a motorbike-style twist grip throttle, they shouldn't run away if you had an incident.

[ref]john-e89[/ref], don't want to be a vulture etc, but with all that's going on, can I have your "Lifer" status if it no longer applies to you?

Would save me making a lot of posts........

It's crossed my mind Perry and as the crow flies it'd knock at least 4 or 5 miles off, and I do know the land owners but there's lots of grazing animals, then further up we're into moorland and heather and that brings lots of ground nesting birds and reptiles, I couldn't disturb them, nature is a huge passion. But thanks all the same.

If noise is the issue, you can get electric quad bikes...

That's a good thought actually, electric quad would work well. Theres a main road to cross and onto a single track lane for half a mile at each end but that's ok, there's passing places and very little uses it. Worth plotting a route on tracks up there etc to see if I could avoid animal life.

Blimey John, lost for words, try and keep positive and hope they find the root cause quickly

The ramifications of not driving and starting a new venture in a new workshop are sinking in Sars.... logistical nightmare tbh. Thing is I believe totally in this blasting business so I'll find a way round the issues. It ain't over yet....
