What are the options?

Okay.. I've had a massive look around the internet and this forums, and have about 1001 different answers to this question.
So, forgive me if it's already been asked, and feel free to point me around to any appropraite thread.... but:

What are the original "standard" options for the Z4 3.0, and what are the "optional" options?

IE.. I've read on many sites (like autotrader, what car etc) and seen that heated seats, and light sprays are standed.. yet read here and other places that they're not and cost extra.

Also.. if there's a list of things that can be retro-fitted somewhere, that would be awesome!

So... sorry again, but i'm a little :tumbleweed:

This is what I used:

http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/equipment/Detail.aspx?deriv=26608

Retro, all I know is: Cruise control, Xenons and speakers... I'm sure there's loads more that others will mention

The quick and simple answer is 'everything'. It's a BMW, even cup holders are optional upgrades! I bet most bmw's, and zeds as well, have at least £2-£5k of extras on...

Is it an SE or sports model?

.. it has the sport button, and it's the 3.0si, so I'm guessing it's the sports model.

I honestly can't tell you, as I've not got the full documents here. but this is what I DO know:

BMW Business is stamped next to the stereo.
It has cupholders
It has heated seats
It has a sports button
It has 18" wheels
I'm told it has headlight washers.
It has that mesh thing between the two roll hoops.

lol.. and that's as much as I know may (or may not) be optional extras...

Tired, just gone over that list, and it states rain-sensing wipers are standard, yet I've been reading today here that that may not be the case...

See what I mean? Damn confusing! lol

Haha, yeah I get ya. Never even thought about rain sensors! I just turned the stick up when it rained.

How do I know if I have rain sensors lol?? I could be wasting unnecessary energy here!!

Behind the mirror, a blue area.

Rain sensor standard on the 3.0 anyway.

you have the 3.0 so the sport button is standard (as well as M suspension), but it isn't on lower models. the other options including sensors are all options too.

I have rain sensors!! :trampoline:

How do I turn them on lol! It's raining at the moment and I'm leaving work in 5 minutes.

I'm almost as excited as when I found out my rear view mirror goes blue in bright light!! :winner:

1. The whiper stalk has to be on the interval setting
2. Once raining, turn the little sensitivity wheel 1 setting either way, does not matter, but it will be on rain sensor mode then

I thought the 'sensitivity wheel' was for intermitant speeds once I'd turned it on. Never touched it really.

What with Auto headlights, auto wipers... If I had an automatic, I could just sit in the passenger seat to get home?

Tired, glad to hear you talking like this.... I thought it was just me! I only discovered the other week, after 3 year's ownership and purely by accident, that I had "see you to the door" lights, or whatever they're flippin called! Other than the obvious stuff I really don't know what the car can do

i think headlight washers are an extra on non-xenons.

see you to the door lights?

"Follow me home" they are called.

Flash the headlights once you are parked and the headlight stay on for 15 seconds or so. Great on dark nights when you park on someone else's drive.

Always get the "oh, you left your lights on" comment. Counting down and turning around slowly ... "really? Can't see it ... " :D

Not sure about roadstars but on Coupe 3.0si SE, m-suspension isn't standard. On 3.0si Sport Coupe, m-suspension comes standard I think.

Have to try that

From what CJ has said in the past Sport suspension isnt standard on pre facelift 3.0i's

The intermittent adjuster on rain sensor models alos adjusts the sensitivity of the sensor
