What are my exhaust options?

Ordered a 35mm bit

Hopefully this will be easy enough to do :)

Do you find more wadding is coming out through the hole Terry whilst driving?

Cheers

Ash

Not noticed any.... I think I've got most of it out with the "hooked" coat hanger, to be honest I'm not sure if I'd notice!

I'd love a bit more noise and the drilling out option looks great - not cost and easy
just looked up my tail pipes (ooh matron) and the left side I can see perforated plate ?
is that what I need to drill through ?
2003 - 3 litre

Sounds good guys. Its extremely similar to an exhaust mod that i have been doing.

Hears my exhaust sound but then mine is a bit different!!

Excuse the farty sound i had a leak that needed a re weld!!

Here's what the inside looks like. I never removed any packing from mine. Just joined the pipes together inside. Love my exhaust note now.

That sounds nice a deep Yorkie. Mine was really nice and raspy it seems to have changed and gone a bit.... Well Vauxhaull nova!! I shall be playing with mine again soon.

Will doing to exhaust Mod affect the back pressure of the exhaust?

Will this mean the cars looses a bit of power, im guessing it will be the same as a backbox delete?

In a word Yes, is a long topic running on that very question. I can't say I've felt any loss in performance from my mod. Had the car on the track the other week and it felt fine. And just scrapped past the 100DB noise limit :o

Has anyone done this drill hole mod with a post facelift car (3.0Si)? Has anyone opened up a post facelift back box? The back box internals appear to be different then the pre-facelift. Looking into the inside/right side exit tube you can see a lot of curvature as the tube moves into the interior. I'm concerned that cutting through the curved tube might be difficult for the hole saw.

Bit of a thread revival but has anyone tried this lately? I'm tempted but worried about the dreaded drone.
