Wet patch confusion!

To the OP, did any of these suggestions solve it?

My problem
I park 'nose up' up my drive.
I have never unblocked my roof drains - don't know how to.
Ive noticed my windows steaming up strangely, maybe damp ?
I search car for wet patches.
When it rains heavily I notice a wet boot. Just like the picture.

Right, it drove me to madness getting a wet boot so I took my boot to bits. Literally the inside of my boot is pure metal atm.

I have found the cause to the problem, whether it helps you guys out or not is another story but we all seem to be having the same problem in the same area. But I do not know how to fix it yet...

When I can finally figure out how to upload some pics, ill show you guys exactly what I found.

What I would suggest to anyone with a wet boot is that you take ALL the lining out from the area and dry it off. Until I took the lining out, I never realised how much wiring is around that area!!!

It had leaked from the corner, through the carpets and linings and was spreading. It was near the top of my battery when I found it, fortunately the battery was bone dry.

Dried as much as I could and tested with a watering can by pouring water on the roof and on the sides of the boot lid. Boot lid wasn't a problem for me either nose up or nose down the drive. On the other hand, nose down the drive with water on the roof wasn't a problem, but was when the car was nose up.

It falls between the boot panel, and the rear side panel and drips straight into the boot.

I think mines in the same place as the comment above!

Apart from it was in my battery compartment and touching it but only a bit at the bottom.

I've just posted another thread but basically I need a roof specialist to take the roof off and go from there!

You guys with your wet boots, do you get a damp smell inside the car?

Had my car serviced today and the guy commented on a damp smell inside, which I knew about but have never been able to find any dampness.

He also said he checked the boot and it was a little wet but not enough to cause the smell.

It only ever smells after it rains, so definitely some water getting in somewhere.
