Hi everyone, another bit of help needed please
As usual apologies if this has already been spoken about?

There is a wet patch in the boot on the left hand side!? Yes it has been raining but it's just on that side?
Ruined a bloody shoe as well!!

Seal usually gone somewhere obvious etc?

Thanks!

thread title really is confusing.....and topic material disappointing

Anyway, afraid I can't help, I've got a tin top.

Try the usual drain plugs.
Are the bolts underneath the boot hinge leaking?
Then there's the rear light cluster.

Best thing to do is pull the carpet back (maybe cut a little sound proofing out) dry it out and put some talc to see where it's coming from.

Hope this helps.

Ah! I think I know, -I nearly did that in my sock drawer one night after a drunken night out
Tip: Lock the door to the garage, & leave the bathroom door open before going out.

If no ammonia-type smell present, it's prob rain getting in through the light cluster seal.
Take the light out and check inside for moisture, it's only a 10 minute job. :)

I had this exact issue recently. On top of the light cluster is a Philips screwhead, it is likely a tiny bit loose.

Had the same on my M. Just put a water tight pad between screw and metal, all fixed and no more leak.

I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM.

This is really not my month...

This seems to be what I had

Will go and take some photos if the vents from inside now. Check your battery area, mars it's probably filled up in there as well.

I read on another forum about water in the boot when parking 'nose up' - my drive is on a bit of a slope so tried backing on and haven't had it since...

Anyone got a picture of this screw?
