All the good wishes are very much appreciated and can I say I have been genuinely moved by them.
I've got to say that I the treatment and care in the Freemam hospital up in Newcastle has been tremendous. I had a wobbly moment during the night but it was dealt with and I was monitored overnight.
Hospital food ? I take back any previous comments - it was generally good - apart from the salt free soup - although on a surgical cardio ward what else could be expected.

I've told Mrs K that I have to take it easy for a couple of weeks!
I'm not supposed to drive for a few day and I can live with that OK and I won't break that instruction.

The procedure was quite painful at times but I got some medication which helped.
Post operative pain I judged at 3/10 however another fella on the ward said his was 6/10

Never mind it's all done now and I'm hoping for a complete recovery .
