Weird clutch problem, '03 2.5i

Hi guys, I have a weird problem with my 2003 Z4 2.5i manual. When I want to set off from standstill, the clutch emits a weird ticking sound and sometimes the pedal and the whole car vibrate as I set off. However, this only happens when I set off with very little throttle, so only by very gently letting go of the clutch pedal. However, if I use a bit of throttle and set off at around 1750-2000 RPM, the noise and vibration coming from the gearbox go away. Any idea what this problem may be? Thanks

Maybe the car’s very close to stalling & that’s the cause of the shudder?

I don't think so, because it definitely didn't have this problem before. It started developing recently.
