It looks like the silicon on the wing has resolved the issue lots of rain here in the last week an no issues. Proper fix would be wing off and and new butyl seal. But I’ve got other priorities on the car to resolve so I’m going to leave as is go now and inspect every month.
Quick update on the water in boot issue … with all our British summer seasonal rain it’s been a good test. The boot / trunk remains completely dry after several months.
