Wanted Z4M Parts

that welded in cage will add some serious strength to that frame, danny you COULD build this thing into a monster if you so wish! think your the first person I've seen with the z4mR and a cage in the UK..

The main reason for the cage was to add safety. Wanted side bars by the doors but you couldn't shut the doors properly. I've also had the cockpit floor strengthened and a front strut brace fabricated from rebar. Just got to get the bars powder coated.
I'm contemplating creating a monster, just need to get the main build out the way.

the only trick you've missed without hat cage is not getting cross pieces with eyelets one for harnesses but that can be easily added!! Well done dany, well done!!With That added to the floor and windsreen frame you've added stiffness to a very stiff roadster platform, id love to see how far the torsional rigidity has gone up! Impressed!

can you take some better bits of the cage and how its connected to the frame.

These pics were taken in the engineering stage and first one before it was welded. I'll put in depth pics on when the interior trim has been carbon skinned.

Great build Danny.
Sorry for the thread hi-jack. I'm thinking of getting my interior carbon skinned by Sycross but can't find any reviews on the forums. Has anybody seen their work or got any opinions of them?

I went to see his work last week whilst I was in middleborough. He's good mate, and has various finishes. Sadly, My cars up there next week now as I've had to get it to a specialist for engine works.

Thanks but just found a couple bad reviews elsewhere. I will await your opinion on the finished result and service.

Looks like I'm the guinea pig. He was the only one to take on the bonnet project and I've been and seen his work in the flesh. Some people want the world sometimes so the month it's meant to be there, I'm thinking more like 2.

It was a Wiring fault mate. Made the dredding call today to find all faults cleared, all dash lights off and an engine running perfect. It went to NCB AutoKraft in Birmingham. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Been a long haul from day 1 of this post Dan so fair play for sticking with it , great tenacity & hope you settle down after its sorted & take some time out to enjoy it :driving:

The UKs first carbon fibre ///M bonnet is underway. Also having a lot of interior, rear spoiler and a full induction kit made from carbon. Picture to follow in the next couple of months

good stuff mate, quite a journey following this build so looking forward to seeing the outcome, even more so the fact its going to be more of a custom project rather than a straight forward stock rebuild, great job so far

Sort of gone mad in sycross carbon. Carbon Bonnet which will be drilled and latched down. Scrapped standard latches. full carbon induction kit, Instruments, sat nav and audio, bezels around heater dials etc. steering wheel controls and plastics, vents, kick plates, sleeves for roll cage behind the seats, mirror bases inside and out, door handles. Should look good. Was gonna go for a small ducktail spoiler but stopped at 26 hundred quid.
